Update from the Principal’s Desk

  • 7 February 2024

Dear Parents,

As we move further into the academic year, I am delighted to share some exciting updates and accomplishments from our school community.

Firstly, I am thrilled to report the success of our recent CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) trips to Vijaynagara, Coorg, and the Andaman Nicobar islands. These journeys were not just about exploration and adventure but were also deeply rooted in our educational philosophy. With the theme of open-mindedness at the forefront, our students had the invaluable opportunity to immerse themselves in diverse cultures and lifestyles. Through these experiences, they not only broadened their horizons but also cultivated a greater appreciation for the richness of human diversity.

In addition to our enriching trips, I am proud to announce the successful hosting of our annual University Fair. We were honored to welcome esteemed institutions such as the University of Bath from London and McGill from Canada, among others. The fair provided our students with invaluable insights into various higher education opportunities, helping them make informed decisions about their academic futures. I am delighted to share that our current DP (Diploma Programme) batch has already received offers from prestigious colleges like University of Manchester, Emory, and Cornell, which is a testament to their hard work and dedication.

Furthermore, I am excited to extend a warm invitation to the parents of our Early Years and Primary students for the upcoming Sports Day scheduled for later this week. It promises to be a day filled with excitement, camaraderie, and friendly competition as our young athletes showcase their skills and sportsmanship. We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating the achievements of our budding athletes.

To enhance communication and streamline processes, we are implementing several measures on the PSS feedback, as mentioned in my previous update too. Firstly, we have introduced ManageBac as our primary platform for all communications regarding grades 9 and above. This will ensure a centralized and efficient channel for academic updates and progress tracking. Additionally, Teams is now utilized for communication purposes for all students in grades 6 and above, facilitating seamless interaction between teachers, students, and parents.

In line with our commitment to academic excellence and student well-being, we have reviewed the assessment calendar to ensure a minimum two-weeks gap between written assessments. This strategic adjustment aims to provide students with ample time for preparation and reflection, promoting a balanced approach to their academic pursuits.

Moreover, we are actively promoting responsible language usage among our students through the Clean Speech Campaign. Through engaging posters, interactive sessions, and contests, we are fostering a culture of respectful communication and mindfulness towards the impact of our words. By instilling these values, we aim to empower our students to become conscientious and empathetic members of our community.

Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we are committed to continuously improving our practices based on your insights. We appreciate your patience and collaboration as we strive to create an environment that nurtures holistic growth and academic excellence.

Many thanks and kind regards,
Pallavi Mishra
