Taking charge of “Mental Health” one active step at a time – Ms. Anagha Raj

Ms. Anagha Raj is a Student Counselor at Oakridge International School, Mohali. She is MA Psychology, with an expertise in Clinical and Child Psychopathology. She is an active and a strong mental health advocate who has been a former volunteer ‘Crisis Intervention Counselor’ for Senior Citizens during the pandemic and is presently a ‘Community Mental Health Expert’ with tri-city based NGOs. Her keenness to learn more, create an impact by sensitizing and expanding awareness amongst various diverse groups about mental health and allied domains has driven her to pursue national and international trainings from eminent organizations and institutions like; AIIMS, American Psychiatry Association (APA, US), Pearson, India and World Federation of Mental Health (WFMH) respectively. She believes that all this has empowered her passion and aided her in utilizing her skill set actively during her student interactive sessions and interventions for maintaining their holistic wellbeing. She has also been invited as a Panelist and Expert Psychologist to various webinars and live sessions for mental health awareness and youth health as well. As she reflects back at her journey in Oakridge she refers to it as her, “second abode” which humbly fosters and encourages her wings to seek more and imbibe in an eloquent manner. Her experience has truly enabled her with vicarious opportunities to polish her skills while certainly being her true self.
