With key focus on English as literature, we enrich your child's global presence and learning

At Oakridge International School, Mohali we are firm believers that English is a global study that should be embraced by every community. Whether this is for language speaking and communication purposes, or to enjoy the vast array of literary texts English has to offer.  With Reading Challenges, Socratic Dialogue sessions, and celebrating birth anniversary of William Shakespear as a theme, we ensure that your child inculcates reading habits and develops the skills to comprehend and communicate excellently.  25th P N Panicker National Reading/ Digital Reading  The school library encourages all our students from Grade 1-12 to take part in the Art comp, Library Quiz and Essay Writing competition conducted by P N Panicker foundation as the part of the National reding/ Digital reading month. ONRT- One nation reading together A library event where every student reads for an hour together in the school. This event promotes literary skills among every student and employees. Socratic Dialogues  The Socratic method, a form of co-operative argumentative dialogue between students is based on asking and answering questions to stimulate critical thinking and to draw out ideas. At OIS Mohali, we believe that parents, teachers, as well as the staff who are motivated readers, can convey their love for reading to their children, students and community which in turn makes a difference in teaching and learning practice.  The reading activities conducted all through the year by our library aims to facilitate learning and support literacy skills across the whole school community.
