Principal Update October 2025 Oakridge Bengaluru

Update from the Principal’s Desk | October 2025

  • 14 October 2025

As the festive season brightens our days, our campus is also buzzing with energy, creativity & togetherness with several events and activities. From special assemblies and performances to meeting parents and assessments, it’s been a month filled with learning, laughter, and the spirit of festivity for everyone at Oakridge.

We recently conducted our New Family Onboarding Survey and I’m delighted to share that the responses have been overwhelmingly positive. Our new families felt warmly welcomed, well informed and supported throughout their journey. Thank you for your trust and partnership!

Survey Highlights:

  • The admissions team were helpful and friendly – 98%
  • The admissions team made the process easy – 98%
  • Communications before school started were useful – 96%
  • My child received a good induction when joining – 93%
  • The school lives up to my expectations so far – 93%
  • I have been accepted warmly by the community – 91%
  • Overall satisfaction with the school experience – 98%
  • Area for improvement: IT platform induction – 84%

While most areas received excellent ratings, we’re already working to strengthen tech tools/ emails related communication and induction for our new families.

Moving into new systems often comes with a learning curve — from new tools to multiple apps — so please feel free to reach out to your child’s HRT or HRA if you need any assistance with these tools or anything related to communication on the apps.

Our Grade 3 and 4 students recently presented a spectacular Performing Arts Showcase (a big thank you to Ms. Niji and the team!). Though I missed the event as I was attending our Annual Senior Leadership Conference, I was filled with pride seeing glimpses of our students’ confident and joyful performances.

Attending the Annual Senior Leadership Conference has been an enriching experience for me as a School Leader. It was indeed inspiring to meet all the senior leaders at Nord Anglia Education from across the globe and exchange ideas on how we can continue to bring value to our students, colleagues, and parents as a growing learning community.

Learning remains at the heart of everything we do at school or outside. As educators, we continue to grow to meet the evolving needs of our students. Through global conferences and Nord Anglia University, our teachers engage in continuous professional development.

Recently, our counsellors attended a Neurodiversity Conference in Bangkok, bringing back valuable insights from other NAE schools in the region.

For the remaining days of the month, some excitement is building up for our upcoming Secondary School trips. The school team has been meticulously planning and assessing every detail to ensure these experiences are not just enriching but also safe and memorable.

Lastly, the ANNUAL PARENT SURVEY (APS) links will be rolled out to your registered email ID for both parents on the 3rd & 11th Nov, and the link will be live only for two weeks. We encourage you to take a few minutes of your time to let us know “Your Opinion” and any recommendations for us to improve your school experiences.

Alongside the APS, we will also be conducting a Student Survey in November. The survey will be conducted for Grade 4 and above, with the objective of gathering information about their overall experience at school.

As we celebrate the season of light and joy, may the spirit of Diwali fill our hearts and homes with warmth, positivity, and hope.

Wishing all our families a Very Happy Diwali and a wonderful month ahead!

Warm regards,
Ms Kavita Sukhani
