Principal Update November Oakridge Bengaluru

Update from the Principal’s Desk – November 2025

  • 17 November 2025

Dear Oakridge Community,

The last few weeks saw us embracing a wide spectrum of activities across our campus. From impactful outstation school trips to engaging in-school workshops, sports events, cultural celebrations like the Halloween parade and Karnataka Rajyotsava, connection with our Oak Parent Partners (OPP), continuing assessment cycles, and, most importantly, the exciting commencement of college offers—the last month saw it all.

Community Events and Celebrations

The spirit of engagement was vibrant in our recent community gatherings. We successfully integrated global and local culture through events like the spirited Halloween parade and the heartfelt observation of Karnataka Rajyotsava.

We were thrilled to witness the enthusiasm and dedication of our primary students during Primary Sports Day – Oaklympics 2025. The strong turnout and support from parents truly highlighted our commitment to holistic development and community spirit. Following this success, we were delighted to welcome our secondary parents to Virtuoso on the evening of November 14th. This secondary school performing arts event was a spectacular display of student talent and dedication, and we trust our parents had a truly memorable time.

Academic Milestones and Global Pathways

We celebrate significant progress and exciting opportunities on the academic front. I am thrilled to share that our DP2 students have begun receiving their initial offers from universities following the early application cycle. We celebrate these first successes and look forward to sharing more exciting news in the coming months.

Our MYP5 students have received their PCUPs (initiators) for their portfolio subjects, marking the start of a critical period of focused work for their final submissions in March and April. This process is integral to their preparation for the next stage of their academic career.

Campus and System Enhancements

Our commitment to enhancing the learning environment and infrastructure continued at full-swing. I am pleased to confirm the arrival of ten new school buses. With the completion of registration and branding processes, we anticipate these buses will be fully operational and running by the end of the month, significantly upgrading our transportation fleet. The revamp of our auditorium and art rooms is nearing completion. We are carefully managing the remaining work to occur outside of student hours.

The gradual integration of the Toddle learning management system for our primary and middle school students continues to be a positive step in enhancing communication and resource sharing in their learning journey.

Experiential Learning: Outstation Trips

This year’s outstation school trips were immensely successful, offering our secondary students valuable learning experiences across diverse destinations: Coorg, Hampi, Pondicherry, Goa, and Andaman.

We deeply appreciate the trust and support of our parents, which allowed these excursions to proceed safely and smoothly. The feedback received has underscored the wonderful conduct of our students and the immense commitment of our teachers, who worked tirelessly around the clock. We are using all feedback—both positive affirmation and areas for refinement—to continuously enhance the quality of our experiential learning program.

Strengthening Our Partnership and Feedback

  • Family Experience Survey: It is the time of year when we request our parents to share their experience at school through the Annual Parent Survey. This survey is run via Nord Anglia through Qualtrics, and each family should have received a unique link to share your experience and voice. The survey will be open until the 27th of November – we encourage you to fill the survey by then. We also have a student survey coming up this year, which will be released soon.
  • Parent Engagement: Our Coordinators have been meeting the Oak Parent Partners, and I have been receiving valuable notes from these sessions. We wish to keep this consistent communication going throughout the year. This is also the time of the year when we start our parent coffee mornings; we shall share a schedule for the same in the coming week.

As the cooler weather of December begins to settle in and the holiday season approaches, we send our warmth to you and your families. Thank you once again for your continued partnership.

Best regards,

Ms. Kavita Sukhani
