We are proud to announce that Oakridge Bengaluru students made it to the grand finale of Brand Bengaluru Ideathon 2023 on January 13, 2024. Ideas of Siddharth & Nihaarika from MYP 5A were shortlisted from the top 50 across city schools, then the top 25 and the top 7!

The students started an organisation, RFFC (Revolutionise Fast Fashion Consumption), where students collected clothes to be disposed of from users, and sorted them into usable, unusable & disposable categories. They presented their ideas infront of an eminent jury including Sudha Murthy and they were felicitated by the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka D.K. Shivakumar at the #Ideathon2023 finals last week.

Ideathon2023 is a pioneering effort reflecting on the vision of the Government of Karnataka through its initiative “#BrandBengaluru”, to help the city become clean, green and sustainable. It is a student innovation initiative to involve school students in providing solutions to the problems and challenges of the city. 💡
