Ms. Shveta Dhand, a Secondary Biology facilitator at Oakridge International School, Mohali recently got an opportunity to attend a workshop organized by Intel and CBSE on “Artificial intelligence integrated multidisciplinary Pedagogies”, where she learnt the use of AI tools and AI framework in science. CBSE is the world’s first Educational board to introduce AI in the curriculum in schools. She was then chosen by Intel and CBSE to be a key resource person for AI integration with science. Presently, she is an ‘AI coach for youth’ and one of the 22 educators chosen from across country as trainers to train teachers from India and abroad. An international certification follows, and she has already started taking sessions as a Trainer for AI in Science. “This immersive experience with AI will empower me to use AI tools and AI framework for students to build AI enabled solutions for real life problems. After all, teaching should aim at assisting Discovery”, says Shveta Dhand.
She further added, “Who says Covid times have not been productive? Teachers and students at Oakridge has left no stone unturned to show resilience, patience stretching their limits. I strongly feel that let’s not confine our students to our own learning for they are born in different times that are ever-changing.”
