Suvriddhi for a Social Purpose

The CAS team at Oakridge International School, Bengaluru have embarked on the mission to renovate the nearby schools that lack basic facilities. The Suvriddhi Fundraiser has crowdfunded around 6.6 lakh rupees so far through bake sales, raffle tickets, game stalls etc.

Students in the CAS team collaborate with Yuva Unstoppable which comprises over 150,000 volunteers from India, working to provide underprivileged children with access to education, sanitation, drinking water, youth affairs, cleanliness and various non-curricular activities.

You can also donate using the link https://r.give.do/1E1vyDG9 and share it with friends, family, and community groups. It’s not about the money, it’s about the impact and the smile we can bring to those who will benefit from our collective generosity.

Role of Imaginative Play

Imaginative Play has so many benefits for children and is also great fun!
One of the favourites of our nursery kids is a Teddy Bear Picnic. Cuddling a soft toy evokes a sense of peace, security, and comfort. The physical hug or even the familiar scent of a teddybear or similar toys can have a calming effect, making it a great tool for children dealing with stressful situations.

Using soft toys, children connect to their feelings and communicate constructively. This establishes a safe and supportive learning environment for every child, helping children to express their emotions, creativity, independence, and feelings in positive ways.

Oakridge Students Spent a Week at MIT Boston

Myra from MYP & Bhavya from IBDP at Oakridge International School Bengaluru visited Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Boston for a week-long STEAM program. They were selected out of 80,000 students from 33 countries for the MIT high school student trip. A whole lot of new perspectives were opened in all the discussions, and they worked in teams with time limits, which was a great opportunity to exercise their best ideas.
