PYP Learners Celebrate Creativity and Imagination

Our recent Little Authors’ Week transformed classrooms into vibrant storytelling spaces where students discovered that every reader could become a writer. The week featured engaging book talks, collaborative writing games, and interactive storytelling sessions that brought tales to life with laughter and imagination.

Students explored renowned authors’ works while crafting their own creative pieces. The highlight was our character ramp walk, where young readers proudly showcased their favorite literary characters on stage. This celebration reminded us of the power of imagination that lives within every young mind.

Here’s what our classrooms look like!

Every day, every hour, learning happens at Oakridge. Our teachers share a glimpse into their classrooms in a graphic newsletter for you to understand the IB way of learning better. Body safety training to grandparents day celebrations and dots day activities, the learning sessions were unlimited. See the below link and take an academic tour from EYP to DP.

Schools from Cambodia & Hyderabad participate in OAK MUN

Oakridge International School Bengaluru hosted OAK MUN 2025 on 19th & 20th September, bringing together around 350 young delegates from 8 participating schools for two days of intensive diplomatic simulation and debate.

Chief guest of the opening ceremony, Veteran diplomat N. Parthasarathi underscored dignity and human rights as fundamental values in contemporary international relations.

A Day of Insight and Inspiration

We were honoured to host Lord Jim Knight, British politician, education visionary, and former Minister of State for Schools and Learning, at our campus.

From a warm welcome to an engaging campus tour led by our senior school students, Lord Knight experienced the vibrant spirit of Oakridge firsthand. His interactions with our learners sparked meaningful conversations around education, innovation, and global citizenship.

His visit was a masterclass in thought leadership, as he shared invaluable insights drawn from his rich experience in policy, digital learning, and entrepreneurship. Our students were inspired by his journey—from Parliament to the House of Lords, and now as a changemaker in global education.

Honouring the Sheros of Oakridge

This Dussehra, we didn’t celebrate with grand rituals – we honoured the people who truly hold our school together.
Our Akkas.
They’re the ones who notice the untied shoelaces, remember which child needs extra encouragement, and somehow turn a building into a home with their quiet, constant presence.
And our learners decided it was time to give back.
The school came alive with dance and music, but the real happiness? Watching our students carefully serve meals to their Akkas – hands & hearts overflowing, eyes shining with pure gratitude.
While Dussehra celebrates good triumphing over evil, that day reminded us that goodness shows up daily in people who truly care. Our Akkas are living proof.
To our amazing parents who made this possible – thank you for raising children who know gratitude isn’t just a word, but an action.
