Oakridge International School Visakhapatnam is proud of it’s IBDP-1 student Mr. Pranav Nandigam for being a part NAE-UNICEF Summit at New York. Over 100 Nord Anglia students from around the world gathered and learnt from experts about sustainable planning and how to better address global challenges such as poverty, hunger, gender equality, quality education and climate change.

Over four days, Pranav experienced an extraordinary journey filled with enriching experiences, thought-provoking sessions, and unforgettable moments. He joined the workshops led by UNICEF and Generation Global. The transformative sessions focused on fostering dialogue skills and developing a deeper understanding of global issues.

“I’ve learned a lot of crucial information throughout this summit from the main segments in creating change to what dialogue is. Throughout this session, I have learned how to use dialogue effectively and how to properly use dialogue in creating change throughout my school and community.” says Pranav

He engaged in in-depth discussions on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), gained profound insights into the progress and challenges of achieving the SDGs through the “World’s Largest Lesson: 2023 Halfway Mark for the Global Goals” and presented the SDG group presentations.

Our learning objective of this summit was to come away with an increased understanding of- and confidence in using design thinking techniques to tackle a specific SDG issue and pave way for a better world he added.
