As we gather once again on this beautiful June 10th, it brings me great joy to see the campus bustling with eager learners, both familiar faces and new additions to our community. A warm welcome to our new families joining us this month. Your presence enriches our school community, and we’re committed to ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for all our students.

Our teachers and staff have diligently prepared for the new school year, focusing on creating engaging classroom environments and participating in Continued Professional Development (CPD) programs to stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies. At Oakridge, we believe in lifelong learning for both students and educators, cultivating innovation in the classroom and beyond.

I am happy to share that our Grade 10 students achieved fantastic Cambridge IGCSE results this year. With 27.3% securing A*-A marks, 49.2% achieving A*-B grades, and 72% achieving A*-C grades across all disciplines, our students’ overall strength is truly evident. I send my heartfelt congratulations to all the teachers and parents who worked hard to help our students achieve such great outcomes. Furthermore, the 2024 CBSE Grade 12 and Grade 10 examinations have already yielded tremendous success. Above 50% of the students achieved a distinction, and there was a 100% pass rate. I would like to remind you that all students must wear their school uniforms regularly. ID cards will be distributed within the first week. Please ensure that you have reviewed and acknowledged receipt of the school policies, Code of Conduct (COC), school calendar, and the letter from the class teacher. Adherence to these guidelines is essential for our students’ success.

I am pleased to provide the following information of the upcoming events designed to foster a strong school community and set the stage for a successful year.

Parent Orientation Programs and Know Your Curriculum Sessions: These sessions are an excellent opportunity for you to meet the teachers, Principal, and Heads of Segments. They will help ensure a smooth and productive start to the year.

International Music and Yoga Day: We will be celebrating International Music and Yoga Day, bringing together students for a day of wellness and creativity.

Student Prefects (Senior & Junior) Selection and Investiture Ceremony: We have begun the process of selecting our student prefects, culminating in the Investiture Ceremony.

IBDP 2 TOK Demonstration: This month, our IBDP 2 students will showcase their knowledge and understanding through the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) demonstration.

Prize Day: In July, we will host an award ceremony to recognize and celebrate our students’ outstanding academic achievements from the past year.

Year of Resilience: 2024-25 We have designated the academic year 2024-25 as the Year of Resilience. Throughout the year, we will focus on helping students develop this vital skill. Through various activities, programs, and initiatives, we aim to empower our students to overcome challenges, adapt to change, and emerge stronger. Resilience will be a central theme in our educational approach, preparing our students for both academic success and personal growth.
