Project Synapse: Where Students Explore the Science of the Mind
- 26 November 2025
Project Synapse is a unique student-led neuroscience and psychology initiative that brings the science of the brain into everyday learning. Conceptualised and executed entirely by students, the project explores the powerful connection between the brain and human behaviour through engaging videos, research-based insights, and myth-busting facts. It proudly reflects the culture of innovation at one of the best schools in Mohali and among the top schools in Chandigarh.
The aim of Project Synapse is to make neuroscience simple, relatable, and exciting for students. By understanding how the brain influences thoughts, emotions, learning, and decision-making, students gain deeper self-awareness while developing strong research and communication skills.
Project Synapse is driven by a passionate team of young leaders:
Arshiya – Founder
Paakhi – Co-Founder
Tanvi – Research Director
Reet – Data Analyst
Divjot – Visual Designer
Each student plays a vital role in ensuring scientific accuracy, data-driven insights, and visually engaging content for a wider audience.
Through this project, students explore key concepts such as neurons, memory, emotions, perception, cognition, and behaviour. They research from credible sources, analyse information, and present it in creative formats.
This strengthens:
Critical thinking
Scientific temper
Emotional intelligence
Communication skills
Digital literacy
Project Synapse strongly aligns with the International Baccalaureate (IB) inquiry-based learning philosophy. Students ask questions, investigate evidence, collaborate, and reflect on their learning. This nurtures IB learner profile attributes such as thinkers, inquirers, communicators, and reflective learners, preparing them for future academic and professional success.
As the best school in Mohali and one of the top schools in Chandigarh, the institution continuously encourages student leadership, innovation, and experiential learning. Project Synapse stands as a shining example of learning beyond the classroom, where young minds take ownership of knowledge and apply it meaningfully.
Students involved in Project Synapse gain confidence, research capability, and a strong understanding of mental wellbeing. More than just a project, it is a growing platform for curious minds exploring the science of the brain with purpose and passion.
