Celebrating Intellectual Curiosity and STEAM Innovation

At the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) Tournament of Champions held at Yale University, our students—Esha, Adyant, and Aratrika—distinguished themselves with remarkable performances. Despite being one of the youngest teams in the Seniors division, they secured a Global Top 10 Rank in Creative Writing and collectively brought home 15 Gold Medals. We also congratulate Nivedh Sai (MYP 2D) for his Silver Medal win at the same prestigious event. Further expanding our global footprint, DP1 student Vedant represented Oakridge at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Selected for this exclusive Nord Anglia Education experience, Vedant engaged in high-level STEAM workshops, culminating in the ‘Zero Gravity Project,’ where his team designed an innovative experiment for microgravity flight.

Immersive Educational Trips to Hampi, Andaman, Goa, Coorg & Pondicherry

The past month was defined by immersive learning beyond the four walls, with students traveling across India to bring their curriculum to life. Journeys stretched from the ancient history of Hampi, where students witnessed architecture transforming into tangible reality, to the marine ecology and community-building challenges faced by DP1 students in the Andaman Islands. Further afield, MYP4 students in Goa mastered design technology skills at the Maker’s Asylum and studied island ecology, while their peers explored the calm energy of Pondicherry, engaging in sustainable crafts like papermaking and local cooking. Finally, MYP 1 students found adventure, independence, and strong teamwork amidst the lush coffee estates and scenic forest treks of Coorg. Every trip reinforced the idea that learning grows stronger when we explore with open minds and open hearts.

Champions in Football, National Medalists, and Solo Singing Success

Our Flag Football Team were crowned champions at Greenwood Ignite, while our Girls Basketball team battled through injuries to secure a Third Place finish, a true testament to their unwavering spirit. Individual excellence was also on full display: Vivaan Ayyar (MYP 2C) bagged a Bronze Medal in Shooting at the national-level ISSO Games in Mumbai, and Ishan won First Prize in Solo Singing at the competitive Band-It Festival, securing his spot in the National Finals. Additionally, our tennis students benefited from a masterclass with India’s Top-15 ranked pro Neeraj Yashpaul, gaining invaluable insights into a champion’s mindset.

Chosen to Represent 80k+ Students

Leadership is a core pillar of the Oakridge ethos, and we are thrilled to celebrate Nia from DP 1, who has been selected as the sole representative from India to join the Nord Anglia Education Global Student Advisory Board. Children’s Day, Virtuoso, and the Primary Oaklympics

The school campus has been buzzing with energy and creativity this month. We observed World Children’s Day with a dedicated week focused on empowerment and rights, culminating in the creation of a heartfelt Hope Garden’ and a wall filled with dreams for tomorrow. The artistic spirit continued with ‘Virtuoso 2025,’ a showcase that highlighted the diverse talents of our MYP and DP students, seamlessly blending genres from classical Mohiniyattam to electric Classic Rock. Simultaneously, our younger learners in EYP and PYP raced their hearts out at the ‘Primary Oaklympics,’ filling the air with cheers, sprints, and sensational sportsmanship.

Two Days of Joy, Creativity, and Community Engagement

Over the weekend of November 29th and 30th , Oakridge International School Bengaluru was transformed into a carnival of creativity as we proudly hosted India’s Biggest Children’s Festival—the Kukdukoo Fest. This landmark event, which welcomed over 4,000 children and their families, marked the first time we opened our space for an event of this monumental scale. The campus buzzed with vibrant activity, hosting over 50 artists, captivating puppet shows, author interactions, and countless creative stations.

Upgrading our Transport Fleet and Creative Spaces

We are pleased to confirm the induction of new school buses into our transport fleet, which will be fully operational by the end of the year, ensuring safer and more comfortable commutes for our learners. Furthermore, the renovation of our auditorium and art rooms is nearing completion, promising revitalized spaces that will further inspire creativity and performance among our students.
