Dear Parents
 
As we count down to the school re-opening day, there is a sense of anticipation and excitement across our campus. I hope our students and families have enjoyed a restful, enriching, and memorable summer break. Time away from the classroom offers valuable opportunities for exploration, reflection, family bonding, and learning.  

This summer, many of our students have embraced experiences that extend learning beyond traditional settings. Some have participated in internships, gaining valuable exposure to professional environments and real-world applications of their learning, while others have taken part in an expedition that challenged them to step outside their comfort zones, develop resilience, and broaden their perspectives.  

I trust that our students have also engaged meaningfully with their summer tasks, pursued their interests, and created experiences that have helped them grow in new ways. We look forward to welcoming them back on 22 June and hearing all about their experiences. 

While our students enjoy their final days of vacation, our educators will return a week earlier to prepare for the year ahead. This dedicated time allows our staff to engage in professional learning, collaborate with colleagues, refine curriculum planning, and ensure that the highest standards of teaching and learning are in place from day one. Continuous professional development remains central to our commitment to delivering engaging, effective, and future-focused learning experiences for every child. 

We also mark the beginning of an exciting chapter for many new families joining our community. To all our new students and parents, I extend a heartfelt welcome. We are delighted that you have chosen to be part of Oakridge International School, Visakhapatnam, and we look forward to partnering with you on this journey. 

We are equally pleased to welcome new members to our staff team. Bringing with them a wealth of experience, expertise, and fresh perspectives, they will play an important role in strengthening our learning community and enriching the experiences we provide for our students. 

We look forward to reconnecting with familiar faces, building new relationships, and embarking together on another year of learning, growth, and achievement.
