Principal Desk Update January 2022

  • 18 January 2022

Dear Parents,

Wishing you all a Happy New Year 2022!

What an incredible way to begin the New Year 2022, with stellar performances by our dear students at the 13TH Annual Day Celebrations of your school. A visual spectacle indeed!

While the pandemic kept us apart for a period of 2 years, the spirit of togetherness has been kindled through our Annual Day celebrations. We are glad that this three-day event has given an opportunity for every student to showcase their talent. This could not have been possible without the commitment of our teachers and coordinators and, of course, the support of the parents back home.

The Annual Report, which was highly appreciated by the Chief Guests, was a testimony that learning never stops at Oakridge. I am sure it helped you to get a sense of the happenings in the school, over the last few months. The theme of this Annual Day was PRAKRUTHI, focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 13, 14 and 15, which are supported by our school.
Our students have done an impeccable job in echoing the message – “Love for Nature – Protect and Preserve”. It was an exhilarating experience to see how well they illustrated their concern via their Visual Arts Exhibition and Musical Theatre for the event. Their performances were filled with creativity, confidence, leadership and presentation skills. The audience were in awe by the astounding visual treat.

Our Early years students demonstrated the need to protect ‘Life on Land’, our Primary students depicted how to nurture ‘Life under the Sea’ and our Senior students urged us to act to tackle ‘Climate Change’. It has always been our aim to prepare our children to be responsible Global citizens.

It is a privilege to receive such extremely heart-touching feedback from our parent community. I extend my sincere gratitude to all the parents for taking out time to be a part of the Annual Day celebrations.

I urge all the parents to ensure that their children aged 15-18 years get the COVID-19 vaccination at the earliest. Do make use of the exclusive vaccination drive being organised on 21st Jan at the school campus.

Our planning for the Academic Year 2022-23 is in full swing and you can look forward to some more innovative initiatives at NordAnglia-Oakridge schools.

Regards,

Shaila Bhamidipati
