Update from Principal’s Desk – March 2026

  • 19 March 2026

Dear Parents,

As we move through the month of March, I find myself reflecting on how much has already unfolded across our campus at Oakridge Mohali. It has been a month full of important moments for our learners—some that marked closure, and others that opened the door to exciting new beginnings.

For our Early Years and Primary learners, the month began with Recapitulation Week from 6 to 13 March. This phase gave our children the time and space to revisit their learning, build confidence, and bring the year together meaningfully. Soon after, on 14 March, we celebrated the Graduation Ceremony for EYP2 and Grade 5. Watching our learners step forward into the next stage of their journey was truly special, and I thank our parents and teachers for making the day so memorable.

March has also been a demanding but purposeful period for our Diploma Programme students. The DP2 mock examinations and DP1 end-term assessments concluded by 11 March, followed by the completion of Internal Orals on 14 March. These milestones require focus and resilience, and our students approached them with maturity and determination. On 20 March, we will be sharing report cards with families, which I see as an important opportunity to pause, reflect, and plan ahead together.

The new academic session commenced on 16 March, bringing fresh energy into the school. Our classrooms are once again filled with curiosity and enthusiasm, and we are especially looking forward to welcoming our Pre‑DP students for the 2026–28 session. A creative and thoughtful orientation has been planned to help them begin this chapter with confidence.

Learning, of course, extends well beyond the classroom. On 25 March, our DP learners will be visiting Chitkara University along with their facilitators. Experiences like these help students explore future pathways and see learning in a broader, real‑world context. Around the same time, our younger learners from Nursery to Grade 9 will be presenting their learning through POP on 25 and 27 March—an event that always reminds us of how much growth takes place over the year.

We are also engaging closely with parents this month. Parent Orientation Sessions and Report Card Days are scheduled on 20 and 24 March for Grades 10A, 10J, 11J, 12J, and DP1. These conversations play an important role in strengthening the partnership between home and school, and I look forward to many meaningful interactions.

I am also pleased to share that we are preparing for an exciting transformation of our PYP Library and Early Years Wing. This is more than a physical change—it is a thoughtful rethinking of how our youngest learners experience reading, creativity, and collaboration. The work will begin soon, and I look forward to sharing this journey with our community.

Looking ahead, preparations are already underway for the DP2 Graduation Ceremony on 11 April. This will be a proud moment for our senior students as we celebrate their achievements and the perseverance that has brought them to this milestone.

March has been a month of movement and momentum. As a school community, we continue to honour achievements, support transitions, and step forward together with optimism.

Warm regards,

 Ms. Suman Kalra
