How Oakridge Mohali Transforms Learning for Every Child

  • 7 January 2026

My Journey with Oakridge

When I joined Oakridge in 2013, I had years of teaching experience. But Oakridge changed everything. Here, I discovered that real learning happens when students explore concepts on their own, guided by facilitators who create thinking pathways—not just answers.

The Six Global Themes we use—such as Who We Are and Sharing the Planet—form the backbone of our curriculum. Each year, students revisit these themes at a deeper level, connecting classroom learning to real-world issues. This approach builds critical thinking and problem-solving skills that last a lifetime.

Learning Beyond Books

At Oakridge, books aren’t the only source of knowledge. We create environments where children ask questions, experiment, and discover. That “wow” moment when a child learns through exploration? It happens here every day.

As a Parent

When I became a mother, I left Oakridge but carried its philosophy home. I encouraged my child to explore while playing, eating, and observing his surroundings. Later, when I enrolled him in another school, I realised something was missing, there was no freedom to think. That’s why I returned to Oakridge, where learning is an adventure, not a chore.

Why It Matters for Your Child

If your child is at Oakridge, you’ve given them more than an education—you’ve given them the power to think, question, and grow. In a world where adaptability matters more than memorisation, this is the edge every parent wants for their child.

Why Choose Oakridge?

At Oakridge International School, Mohali, learning isn’t limited to textbooks. It’s about curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Every child is unique, and we believe every learner has the ability to do wonders when given the right environment.
