Mental Health Day Celebrations

To commemorate the importance of mental health and well-being, the students of Oakridge International School, Gachibowli celebrated Mental Health Week from 10th to 14th October. With a range of activities planned, the event propagated the central theme of the event, ‘Making mental health and well-being for all a global priority’. 

The event kickstarted with the distribution of green ribbons to the students and staff of the school on the occasion of World Mental Health Day to symbolize support for the cause. In this week-long celebration, students participated in multiple interactive activities that focussed on enhancing their social and emotional learning. A Yoga session was conducted to upkeep physical as well as mental well-being, herein students also understood the importance of meditation. Moreover, understanding the impact of food on the well-being of the learners,  a Comfort Food Sale was organized. Thriving on the aspect of art providing solace to the mind, students enjoyed the Graffiti making activity. The junior students were seen taking part in the Inclusion Parade and leading the baton of ‘we are unique, we are united’. The campus was brimming with the sheer enthusiasm of the students throughout the week.
