Oakridge International School Gachibowli organised a memorable trip to Kerala, also known as “God’s Own Country.” This amazing trip was undertaken by the students from Grades 9-12th CBSE, MYP, and DP.

Students visited Eravikulam National Park to see Mountain Goats and picturesque valleys, as well as the Tata Tea Factory and Museum to see the process of making Tea Dust from Fresh Tea Leaves. They also went shopping in Munnar Town for fresh tea and spices. They also had a great time shopping at the famous Lullu Mall, which is one of India’s largest malls. They also enjoyed DJ Music and Dance Session with their friends. The most enjoyable part was visiting the famous Wonderla Theme Park and enjoying unlimited dry and wet rides inside the Park.

Apart from these enjoyable activities, students have also learned and gained knowledge during this tour. They were treated to a spectacular display of Kalaripayatu Martial Art. Students were awestruck and inspired after witnessing Kerala’s extraordinary art form.
Students also saw “Kathakali,” a beautiful Kerala art form. They saw how Kathakali artists do their make-up, which is an essential part of this art form. They saw a live performance by Kathakali Artists, took pictures with the Artists, and left with a memorable experience. It was incredible to see the students’ enthusiasm for watching this art form. Some of the students dressed up in traditional attire to witness this magnificent art form. It demonstrates how our students understand and value our traditional art forms. Apart from these performances, students learned a lot about Kerala’s history by visiting the Folklore Museum and the Face Art Gallery for Art & Antiques, which contains approximately 4000 artifacts.

Overall, it was an amazing fun-filled trip and students had a great time while also learning a lot. Most importantly, they bonded and created long-lasting memories to cherish forever.
