Update from the Principal’s Desk – November

  • 7 November 2025

Dear Parents

I’d like to extend heartfelt gratitude to all our new parents who took the time to share their thoughts through the New Parent Feedback Survey. Your encouraging words reaffirm the positive experiences you’ve had as you joined the Oakridge community, and we truly appreciate the trust you’ve placed in us. We have also carefully taken note of the points you’d like us to focus on, and we assure you that we’ll address them to ensure you continue to have a smooth and enriching experience with us.

As we continue to grow together as a community, the Annual Parent Survey will be shared with all parents on November 11, and we encourage you to take a few minutes to share your feedback. Your voice truly matters and helps us make the Oakridge experience even better for every child and family.

At Oakridge, we continue to prioritise safety and well-being as the foundation of a nurturing school environment. Our staff have recently undergone essential training sessions in Safeguarding, POSH, POCSO, and Health & Safety, reaffirming our shared responsibility to create a secure and supportive space for every child.

Our Student Counsellor has been actively engaging students through thoughtful sessions promoting emotional and social well-being. These included group counselling interactions, awareness sessions on Good Touch and Bad Touch, a Feelings Workshop for our Early Years learners, and a meaningful session for our boarding students on Living in Harmony: Respecting Diversity and Inclusion.

The Global Campus continues to bring global learning to life across grades, with our students set to explore a variety of activities including writing, art, music, chess, sports, and the MIT STEAM Challenges. As part of the Nord Anglia Education family, Oakridge students enjoy access to this exclusive online platform that connects over 80,000 learners worldwide, enabling them to collaborate, innovate, and grow together.

This month also brings exciting field trips and guest lectures, designed to extend classroom learning into real-world experiences. Our Step-Up Programme for Grade 2 students at the Early Years Campus is set to help them transition smoothly to the main campus for Grade 3. We also look forward to hosting informative parent sessions that will guide families through curriculum choices as students prepare to move from Grade 5 to 6 and Grade 10 to 11.

As we move forward, we remain inspired by the curiosity, collaboration, and confidence our students display every day, and look forward to an exciting term ahead.

Warm regards,
Shaila Bhamidipati
