Dear Parents,

We are delighted to have students back to school after a rejuvenating and relaxing break. We have successfully completed Term 1. We are looking forward to the term which lays ahead . It promises to be a term that is exciting and fruitful. 

A holiday is an opportunity to journey within. Likewise, 88 students and 12 teachers from our school had an opportunity to journey within and explore their inner selves. They had been to  the 4 day leadership camp where they were nurtured and honed through various activities like Mountain Hiking, Zip Lining, Rappelling and many more. While these students were accelerating self-awareness and growth, a few of our senior-grade students were developing their academic skills by attending our Autumn Internship program at Rainbow Hospitals.

Mental well-being has always been a priority at Oakridge. October being the mental health awareness month, we have celebrated Mental Heath Day. Students of our well-being club spread awareness about the importance of good mental health through various activities. 

The Olympiad Examinations for this academic year will commence from the 14th of this month with ‘The International Finance Olympiad’ by the International institute of Financial markets for grades 8 to 12 and ‘International Chemistry Quiz Olympiad’ for grades 7 to 12 by Royal Australian Chemical Institute. This is followed by the STEM Innovative Olympiad for grades 6 to 10 on 21st and Global Aptitude Olympiad for Cambridge grades 9 & 10 on the 28th of October.

With our Annual Sports Day fast approaching all our students are gearing up with the practice of marchpast and drills. Preliminary sports competitions for grades 4 to 12 are happening at pace and I eagerly look forward to witness and encourage their true spirit of sportsmanship in the finals along with you.

We wish our Grade 10 IGCSE students great success as they prepare for their Pre-board examination.
