Update from Principal’s Desk – June 2025
- 9 June 2025
As June approached, synonymous with the relaxing and tranquil summer holidays, Oakridge continued to bustle with purposeful activity and movement as it prepared for this year’s Summer Camp. Oakridge’s energetic and fun-filled seven-day Summer Camp came to an end, bringing endless smiles and cherished memories. Young learners were engaged in swimming, soccer, vocal, drumming, jazz, and many other activities that combined elements of energetic exploration and skill building. Words cannot express how much joy the students witnessed, and as they came closer to the last day of the camp, they urged us to carry it a bit longer.
Additionally, we are excited to share the inaugural ceremony of the OAKMUN Model United Nations (MUN) on the 25th and 26th of July, 2025. Oakridge has the distinct honor of hosting this remarkable event in our school’s history. This two-day conference will be conducted solely by the students and will host delegates from schools within the tricity as well as other neighbouring towns.
MUN 2025 will offer a vigorous forum for discussion, diplomacy, and leadership with its multitude of committees and global issues that are bound to be relevant. Everything is already in motion, and I must take a moment to thank our organizing team for their enthusiasm, dedication, and foresight. Most of all, we are eager to witness our young delegates in action.
I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the parents for their continued support, as these young learners were levelling up their skill set during this insightful and power packed summer camp.
Looking forward to seeing our Oakridgers return with renewed zeal and enthusiasm after a well-deserved, relaxing summer break.
Warm regards,
Ms. Suman Kalra
Principal, Oakridge International School
