Principal Update: August 2023

  • 8 August 2023

Dear School Community,

I hope this letter finds you all in high spirits and brimming with enthusiasm for the month of August. As we continue to journey together towards excellence in education and holistic development, I wanted to take a moment to share some recent developments and initiatives that have taken place at our school.

Recently, our Designated Safeguarding Leads – Ms. Aenna Bansal, Ms. Renu Kharbanda, Mr. Ravi Khurana, Mr. Birinder Singh Brar, and myself – had the opportunity to attend a comprehensive training program in Hyderabad. This training has been instrumental in equipping us to keep our school community safe and secure at all times. From operations and facilities to recruitment and routine practices, safeguarding measures are crosschecked at every step to ensure a nurturing and secure environment for our students.

In light of recent events, we temporarily suspended swimming classes to prevent the spread of eye flu. Your overwhelming support and understanding during this period have been truly commendable, and we are immensely thankful to the parent community for standing by us in prioritizing the health and well-being of our students.

To provide the best educational experiences for our young learners, we believe in constantly upgrading our infrastructure. During the summer vacations, we diligently carried out maintenance work and commenced the painting of our campus, giving it a fresh and vibrant look. The parent parking area has been revamped for added convenience, and new CCTV cameras are ready to be installed across the PYP segment to further enhance safety and security. In the Early Years’ segment, we have provided new cots to ensure our little ones enjoy their nap time comfortably and soundly.

Our commitment to providing the latest technological resources to our students has led us to invest in significant upgrades in the ICT department. The secondary ICT lab now boasts brand new desktops, and our junior students have been equipped with new Android tablets for enhanced learning experiences. The spirit of innovation continues in our science lab, where our lab in charge has been working diligently to enrich student experiences during experiments by upgrading lab equipment.

Moreover, we take immense pride in the efforts of our IBDP CAS students, who have been actively running school clubs in the secondary segment, fostering a sense of community and collaborative learning. There are around a dozen clubs for students to choose from including MUN, photography, public speaking, track and field, art and much more!

Lastly, I extend heartfelt gratitude to each one of you for your unwavering support during our Donation Drive, led by Ms. Mansi Chakravarti, with the assistance of Mr. Shadab and Mr. Raj Chopra from our Share A Dream Team. The generous contributions received during this drive will go towards relief work in Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand, making a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need.

Let us continue to work hand in hand, creating an atmosphere of trust, collaboration, and growth. Together, we can achieve great heights and empower our students to be responsible and compassionate global citizens.

Thank you once again for being an integral part of our school community. Your continued support and active participation make all the difference in the lives of our students.

Don’t forget to stay connected with the school community via our Instagram and Facebook.

Wishing you all a fruitful and fulfilling month ahead.

Regards

Suman Kalra
