Principal’s Desk: December 2025 Updates

  • 9 December 2025

Dear Parents,

It is hard to believe we are already in the final month of the year. As the winter chill settles over Mohali, the atmosphere inside our campus is warmer than ever. December is always a unique time for us—it is a mix of intense academic focus, the joy of learning beyond the classroom, and the excitement of the upcoming holidays.

Looking back at November, I am so proud of how our students handled their mid-term milestones. Now, as we navigate these next few weeks, we want to finish 2024 on a high note.

Life in the Primary Years (EYP & PYP)

Our younger learners are not slowing down. In fact, this month is packed with activities designed to get them thinking and exploring.

We believe that some of the best lessons happen outside the four walls of a classroom. That is why you will see a lot of movement this month with Field Trips scheduled for EYP2 to Bird Park, Grade 3 to Jaggery MillGrade 2 to Verka Plant Grade 4 to Music Studio, and & Grade 1 Trash Dump.

Inside the school, we are bringing the world full of insights to them through Guest Lectures for Grade 5, EYP-1B, and Grade 4 as a part of their Unit of inquiry.

As part of IB curriculum, we take pride in showcasing assemblies initiated, organised and hosted by our proficient little learners. It takes immense courage to stand on stage, and we will see Grade 3AGrade 2A, and Grade 2B learners take the spotlight.

I am especially excited for a new addition this month: “Mums and Minis.” On Sunday, December 14th, we are taking our Early Years mums and their little ones on an exotic adventure to Barota Farm. It promises to be a beautiful day of bonding, nature, and fresh air—I can’t wait to see you there.

Academic & Senior Updates

For our senior cohorts, this month represents a significant academic threshold. December 12th marks the end of Term 1, as well as the conclusion of the Pre-Board 1 exams for Grade 10 and 12, and the IBDP Mock exams. They have put in a lot of late nights and hard work, and this upcoming break will be well-deserved.

Please mark your calendars for December 20th, which is Report Card Day for the whole school. It is an important day for us to connect with you, discuss your child’s progress, and look at the roadmap for the next term.

Beyond Academics

School life is about balance. On December 19th, the energy will shift to the soccer field for our Secondary Athletics Meet 2025. It is always a great day of competition and House spirit. I encourage you to join us in cheering for our students during this grand Athletics’ showdown.

Beyond the playground, we remain committed to nurturing global citizens who stay grounded in cultural values and history. We will be observing Human Rights Day on the 10th, also, celebrating the beauty of logic on National Mathematics Day on the 22nd, and paying our solemn respects during Shaheedi Sabha on the 27th of this month.

Ending on a Festive Note

Before we head off for the winter break, we have a lovely tradition to uphold. On December 24th, we will host the Inter-House Carol Singing Competition (Grades 4 & 12). Please remember that this will be a half-day for students. It is the perfect way to ring in Christmas and sending them off into the holidays on a high, musical note.

Thank you for your unwavering trust and partnership throughout 2024. I wish you all a season of peace and warmth.

Warm regards,
