Principal Desk Update July 2022

  • 14 July 2022

Dear Parents

Hope you all are doing well.

Post the summer break we are back to school routine, the children are engaged in learning and they also are getting opportunities to connect with each other as well as their teachers.

The month of June has been a busy one for us at school. Our teachers from Senior Secondary were busy with their trainings and preparation for the IBDP authorization visit. The admin staff worked tirelessly to ensure that all the labs and the library are well stocked with resources. I am very happy to share that the IBDP authorization visit was conducted on the 7 and 8 of July. The visit went well. I would like to thank our parent community who supported us through this journey and interacted with the visiting team. I will keep you informed and updated regarding this.

After a long time we are seeing our children engaged in physical education and sporting activities. The Football and Tennis academy was launched in May and we are happy to see the students utilize these opportunities. We are looking at adding swimming to this beyond-school facility. We have received the notification about the Zonal Sports Competitions that will be held in August. The students of Grade 6 – 12 will be eligible as per the age categories. The selection trials will be held for football, cricket, basketball and athletics. Mr. Sunil Singh, our PE co-coordinator, will connect with the parents with further details.

I am very happy and excited to share the result of the Cambridge IGCSE March series (for grade 10) as well as Cambridge Checkpoint for grade 8. Our students have done wonderfully well. In March Series for IGCSE, a whopping 90% of students secured in the range of A*- C in 5 subjects while 62.5% students scored in the range of A*-B grades. In Cambridge Checkpoint (grade 8), 53% students secured between 6 and 4 grades. I congratulate the students, teachers and parents for working together and towards this.

Even though we are back to school and life has come back to an even keel, let us ensure that we take care of ourselves and adopt all measures to keep ourselves safe!

Kind regards

Ramanjit Ghuman
