Update from the Principal’s Desk – August 2025

  • 5 August 2025

Dear Parents,

As we enter yet another colorful month at Oakridge, I am delighted to share a preview of the exciting learning experiences and celebrations that lie ahead. Every activity is carefully designed to promote our vision of raising globally minded, confident, and compassionate learners.

Celebrations That Unite

Janmashtami will be celebrated across the Early and Primary Years with vibrant cultural performances and storytelling, bringing traditions to life in engaging ways.

Independence Day will be marked with pride and purpose through special assemblies, student performances, and a flag hoisting ceremony accompanied by the national anthem.

A unique highlight this month is “Donuts with Dads”—a friendly football match that will bring fathers onto the field, blending fun, fitness, and a strong sense of community.

Awareness that Ignites

World Mosquito Day

We are particularly anticipating the assembly with Grade 3B on World Mosquito Day that will create awareness on health and safety.

Progress Parade

The EYP 2 students will have a Progress Parade showcasing the IB attributes they have inculcated through inquiry-based learning.

National Sports Day

Our students will also develop more sportsmanship and resilience through upcoming Inter-House Football matches in Grades 4 to 12.

The National Sports Day will have series of contemplative and physical exercises to underline the value of movement and fitness in our lives throughout.

World of Activities & PTM

Month will end with our long-awaited “World of Activities,” an exhibition of transdisciplinary learning by our PYP learners. On the same day, we will also conduct PTMs with Grades 6-12, facilitating the opportunity to align with learning goals and progress.

It’s heartening to see our community thrive through every interaction—whether in the classroom, on the field, or during school celebrations. Thank you for your continued trust and involvement. Together, we are shaping not just academic excellence, but confident, compassionate, and future-ready global citizens.
