Update from the Principal’s Desk – August 2026

  • 14 August 2026

Dear Parents

As we celebrate India’s 80th Independence Day, we are reminded of the values of responsibility, unity, and citizenship that we strive to nurture in our students.

This month, we celebrated our Investiture Ceremony, where our student leaders from the Primary and Secondary years formally assumed their leadership roles. We look forward to seeing them lead with confidence, empathy, and responsibility.

We also hosted our University Fair, bringing universities from India and abroad under one roof and giving our students and parents an opportunity to explore higher education pathways and engage directly with university representatives.

Our Career Counsellor has also begun discussions with Grade 12 and IBDP 2 students and their parents to support them through the university application process and help them make informed decisions about their future.

Our Student Counsellor continues to engage with students across grades through age-appropriate sessions on safety, inclusion, kindness, safe and unsafe touch, interpersonal relationships, effective communication, and setting healthy boundaries. Our Student Counsellor is also available for individual counselling, and parents are welcome to reach out if they feel their child may benefit from additional support.

Student-led clubs have begun their activities across areas including MUN, art, STEAM, AI, wellbeing, literature, and digital design and technology, providing students with opportunities to explore their interests beyond the classroom.

Our Extended Learning Programme has also commenced, offering students from Grade 3 onwards opportunities to pursue activities beyond regular school hours, including basketball, cricket, swimming, football, and taekwondo. Students who wish to participate may still sign up for the programme.

Finally, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to our Oakridge Parent Partners for the academic year 2025-26. Your support and contribution have played an important role in bringing enriching learning experiences to our students. We will soon be reaching out to invite parents to volunteer as Parent Partners for the academic year 2026-27.

We look forward to another month of learning, growth, and meaningful experiences together.

Warm regards
Shaila Bhamidipati
