Update from the Principal’s Desk – May 2026
- 13 May 2026
Dear Parents
While our students take time to rest and recharge with their families during the summer break, our campus continues to remain active with preparation and learning. Our teachers are currently engaged in professional development, dedicating time to training, collaboration, and the exploration of best teaching and learning practices. These sessions are an important part of our commitment to ensuring that students return to classrooms that are engaging, future-focused, and designed to support meaningful learning experiences.
Summer holidays are not only a time for rejuvenation but also an opportunity for students to continue learning in different and enriching ways. The summer break tasks assigned across grades have been thoughtfully designed to encourage hands-on learning and life skill development. We hope our students use this time to explore new interests, build independence, spend meaningful time with loved ones, and return refreshed for the new term ahead.
We are also excited to see our students from Grade 8 onwards prepare for the Nord Anglia Education Expedition to Switzerland in the first week of June. This immersive experience promises to be an incredible opportunity for students to challenge themselves, connect with nature, and learn beyond traditional classroom boundaries.
At Oakridge International School, Visakhapatnam, we continue to believe that some of the most valuable learning happens through experience, reflection, collaboration, and global exposure. We look forward to the many opportunities that will help our students continue growing as confident, compassionate, and globally aware learners.
Warm Regards
Shaila Bhamidipati
