Principal’s Desk Update- November 2022
- 7 November 2022
Dear Parents,
Hope you and your family are as eager for the onset of winter as we are!
The sheer values that winters accompany are indeed uplifting. Be it signifying the aspect of perseverance or embodying resilience, winters always remind people of the importance of warmth and comfort. In this regard, it is indeed a joyful sight to see our students battling the season’s chills when entering the school gates, donning their woolen attire, and having big smiles on their faces. By all means, this signifies that Oakridgers find comfort and warmth on the campus, among the company of their teachers and peers.
October was indeed an eventful month. But the cherry on top of this was when we were ranked No 2 in International Day School in Telangana in Education World Rankings. This feat was only possible through the consistent effort put up by our faculty, staff, and students alike. A super achievement indeed! Kudos to the entire team.
The month started with the celebration of Mental Health Week. Students returned to the campus from the Dussehra break and were welcomed with green ribbons and white balloons that symbolized the importance of mental health and well-being for all. Students from across the segments went on several field trips and had an immersive experiential learning experience. The campus was also bustling with talent with events like Oakridge Orator, World of Activities, and Art Fest taking place on the campus. The month ended with the Halloween celebrations where our little ones from EY went trick-and-treating around the school.
Besides this, our students have made us proud as always by achieving the zenith of success. Pranav from MYP developed a tracking device start-up Guardzie and won the title of Most Organized Deck IIT Guwahati E-Cell Competition. We also had students participating in Sports For All tournament and bringing laurels to score by bagging amazing prizes.
As we venture into November and embrace the onset of winter, there are so many things to look forward to! The JMUN was a huge success and students from different schools exhibited their oration and critical thinking skills herein. Whereas, we also look forward to students participating in Campground and taking part in adventure activities right within the safe grounds of the school.
As always, I seek your continual support in making the learning environment for your ward more cohesive!
Warm Regards
Hema Chennupaty
