Dear Oakridge Community,

I am thrilled to have our students back on campus with the newfound energy, excitement, and the will to start the second half of the academic year. The laughter, enthusiasm, and eager discussions that has filled our hallways over the past few days seem like a fantastic reminder of the energizing culture that epitomizes Oakridge.

While looking forward, I anticipate July to be a busy month overflowing with beneficial learning activities and experiences across all grade levels.

Oak Spirit Fest

Starting July 13th, “The Spirit Fest” was the guiding theme for the students and as expected, it reflected so beautifully.

Each day brought something new:

Starting with Duo day, further to the Retro world inspired by the 90’s look, then to floral beauty decked up in nature inspired clothing, followed by favourite book character for the last day of the fest that featured a carnival of characters from the story books coming alive.

The School also hosted the OAK BIZZ 1.0 award ceremony backed up with stellar performances showcasing our talented secondary students.

These weren’t merely dress up days, but characterization, community, and civil artistry.

Blog Update

While considering International Schools in Mohali, parents commonly inquire whether their child will learn skills necessary for university admission. Besides excellent academic performance, successful university students understand how to conduct independent research, think critically, have self-confidence, and are flexible and adaptable to varied learning situations.

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at Oakridge Mohali aims to teach all the above desirable skills. Through a unique blend of rigor and customization in learning, along with the provision of guidance and resources, we prepare our students for their dreams of higher education.

The Ultimate Showdown

This month’s inter-house swimming competition for the Primary and Secondary students reached an exciting high with the final event. The entire swimming pool was filled with the chants and cheers of Pascal, Picasso, Shakespeare, and Mozart houses as the four houses descended on the field, posing friendly competition and showcasing talent and sportsmanship.

As the last event, the final round was the best and offered the most fun. Even with all the cheering and excitement some of the participants remembered that even if only one house has the chance to lift the prize, everyone is a winner when they play gracefully and with heart.

Anahat’s Triumph

This month, we had the distinction of honoring one of our young Oakridge stars, Anahat Kaur Brar, who brought us great pride by claiming First Position at the District Rifle Shooting Championship.

Anahat’s fantastic accomplishment shows the incredible values we hold at Oakridge of focus, perseverance, discipline, along with the brave pursuit of excellence. Anahat’s commitment and effort have not only achieved the greatest district level award, but also brought the motivation to her peers to dream big and pursue their targets.

Anahat’s wonderful achievement deserves our highest praise and we hope she achieves even more as she keeps on winning on larger arenas.

Congratulations, Anahat. Oakridge is proud of you!

Global Recognition

The school has much to celebrate this month as global platforms honored our faculty and students.

Our warmest congratulations to Ms. Mitali Singla, our Commerce Facilitator, who has been awarded Global Recognition in the Global Campus Entrepreneurs’ Challenge Pilot – Global Campus 2025/26. This award is the result of her dedicated effort and commitment to ensuring that her students have the skills of the future.

We are also proud of Ms. Mansi Chaudhary, who was awarded special recognition for her efforts to encourage students to enter the Global Campus Dance Competition and to perform internationally.

Moreover, we commend students, Kanav, Mankanwar, and Divjot, who represented Oakridge, Mohali, at the Global Campus Entrepreneur Challenge alongside the British International School, Guangzhou, China, with their sustainable skincare project, EcoGlow Naturals, which strives to make skincare both natural and sustainable. Global Campus awarded EcoGlow Naturals a special mention.

Extending the global footprint of Oakridge, the Global Campus Central Office in London, recognized the School for Outstanding Participation in the Feet First: Juilliard Dance Project. This award demonstrates the creative confidence and enthusiasm of our students.

The spirit of innovation and global citizenship that the Oakridge community embodies, is epitomized by these achievements. We are proud of our winning faculty and students. We are proud of the global recognition they have achieved.

Nature’s Network

In celebration of World Conservation Day, our Grade 2 students took part in a Food Chain and Food Web Role Play. They learned about the different characteristics of producers, consumers, and decomposers (and more!) by taking on those roles for the class.

The activity solidified the students’ understanding of the balance of the ecosystem as well as the importance of diversity in nature. Including a lot of fun and creative expression, learners worked together to practice the true essence of conservation.

Sowing Seeds of Awareness

This month, Oakridge delivered a comprehensive POSH, POCSO, and ICC POSH Training to all teaching, administrative, and support staff in its latest initiative to promote a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment.

The session, led by Trainer Ms. Shambhavi Rai, and covering workplace ethics, child protection, and much more, offered legal duties and obligations and a range of safety and accountability culture establishment practices and great tricks.

In this program’s lively, hands-on discussions and activities, staff were imbued with the knowledge of, and confidence to achieve, the highest standards of wellbeing and respect, and thus ensure that Oakridge is a safe, caring, and supportive community for everyone.

This month, Blue Day filled the campus with the excitement and joy brought by our Nursery learners. Children flooded the campus with colors of blue as they explored different fun activities that helped them learn and appreciate the color blue.

Activities included singing, dancing, games, and other hands-on creative and constructive experiences that were both educational and enjoyable. The young learners enjoyed exploring and expressing their thoughts and ideas.

Blue Day brought bright smiles and endless joy and delight to the little learners.
