Meet Ms. Saheli, IB MYP Visual Arts Facilitator at Oakridge International School, Gachibowli. Postgraduate and gold medalist in Fine arts, Ms. Saheli guides her students to excel in creative expression.

In my words:

”Able to create something new every day is a blessing and I feel fortunate to do that with my students. I try to imbibe the idea of, How to think not What to think!”.

”I am a professional artist and associated with Oakridge for the last six years. I enjoy teaching and make the topics more relevant to the contemporary world. Visual art has a huge contribution to a child’s growth. It does not only make one a keen observer of the surroundings but at the same time, it makes the child more responsible and independent in expressing. I think Visual Art is a tool through which one can express inner thoughts which makes society more responsible for its action”.

Ms. Saheli has been part of different art projects and exhibitions. One of the most interesting is her nomination in the ‘Harmony Art Foundation’ by the Reliance group where she was the one among twenty invited artists from all over India. She was also associated with ‘Seagull books’ for many years during art projects. Apart from these, she has exhibited her artworks in many renowned art galleries. Her artworks are visible on the World art community website.

Prathima Rayachoti, Parent of Mahith Rayachoti says “Class Teacher, Ms.Saheli Basu has been an extremely co-operative teacher, responding to every query of mine within no time. Her involvement in the child’s progress and development is worth appreciating. Her guidance has made me take the right decision for my child in choosing the syllabus.”
