Principal’s Desk Update – January 2022
- 6 January 2022
Greetings and wish you a very Happy New Year 2022! May this year bring more joy and more good times for all of us. Also wishing everyone good health and well-being. Yes, I would lay more emphasis on taking good care of ourselves and of our dear ones.
With the unfolding of this new year, we have embarked on vaccinations for the age group of 15-18 years. As you are aware that we have partnered with Rainbow Hospitals to conduct a special Vaccination Drive for our students at the campus from 6th January onwards. The details have already been shared to the parents of the relevant grades. I would encourage all the Oakridgers falling into this age category to get vaccinated at the earliest!!
With the 3rd wave eminent in the country and rising cases of different variants of the virus, it is crucial for us to take additional precautions. Let us take responsible steps to stop the spread– by avoiding any kind of unnecessary travel and avoiding indoor crowded places. We have had a few positive cases at the school too and we are taking extra precautions by following the social bubbles as of now. We will keep you updated regularly on the further measures taken. Thank you for your immense support and faith in us.
I am proud of our students for putting up a wonderful CAS event – CASNIVAL 2022—a genuine effort to raise funds for the underprivileged people. Congratulations too on the successful completion of the MYP Personal Project and also the PTSM’s across several grades. We now look forward to a successful completion of the Academic Year 2021-22 with our teachers working on best practices and focusing on the academic excellence of our students.
Once again I would like to extend warm greetings for Sankranti/Pongal/Lohri/Baisakhi/Bihu. Enjoy the Pongal break and I would again request you to please adhere to the Covid safety protocols. Let’s hope and pray for a great year ahead.
Stay warm and stay safe!
