Dear Parents,

India is in high spirits! Celebrating the 75th Independence Day along with the Gold in Olympics. At Oakridge, we couldn’t have been happier, as the stupendous results of MYP and CBSE have added to our excitement. Yes, this was not an ordinary year! But the way Oakridgers have performed throughout this academic year, speaks volumes of interest and enthusiasm our teachers have generated, and the commitment and sincerity our students have shown.

Online classes throughout the virtual year with unprecedented times and the uncertainty of exams couldn’t hamper the high spirits and their performance. Both AISSCE and AISSE results testify to the grit and commitment shown on either side of the screens. Oakridge CBSE pass percentage is 100 % and the average is over 84. Joshita Dhanireddy, an Oakridger right from her Nursery, secured 99.6 % (498/500) in Grade 10, which also makes her one of the State toppers, whereas our 12th grade highest score stands at 97.8% (489/500), secured by Anusha Banerjee. We are so proud of them.

MYP had a distinction of taking the ‘Alternative Task Assessments’, where IB ensured the integrity of students, through strict measures and vigilance during the conduct of the exams. The average score of 41.57 against a global average score of 38.21 and around 34.78% of the students scoring 6+ in their subjects is highly commendable. Wasker Ananya Anand stood first in school with a score of 54/56. When sincere efforts and determination work together, results are ought to be this good. Hearty congratulations to parents for their continuous support and encouragement.

I am immensely proud of the fact that the virtual school experience is not only manifesting the learning and academic growth of our students but also enhancing their overall growth. The newly formed Oakridge Club looks promising, giving a platform to our senior students of Grades 9 to 12 to nurture their passion. There are many more exciting programmes coming up for the amazing learning experience of our students; right now we look forward to Oakridge JMUN.
