Dear Parents,

Happy New Year to all our families and a special warm welcome to all the new members of our community.

The start of a new year often brings new energy and new plans for the year ahead. The Juniors Annual Sports Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy. We were happy to have Mr. Christopher Short, Managing Director, Nord Anglia Education – India Region as Chief Guest for the event. The drill displays by Our Early Years and Primary Grades 2 and 3 were spectacular and wonderful. In the Secondary School, CBSE Grade 12 students have started with their Board practical examinations. Cambridge Grade 10 students and CBSE Grade 10 have been involved in revision classes to prepare for the mock exams which will take place next few weeks. These are very important indicators as to how students are performing and to identify areas for further instruction.

I am happy to inform you that Brainfeed School Excellence Awards 2022-23 has selected Oakridge International School, Visakhapatnam for transforming education and young minds through a noteworthy spectrum of initiatives and efforts. Congratulations!

The impact of the pandemic and loss of school trips for more than 2 years is finally over, and I am glad to see our children learning beyond the   classroom, out of the educational closet into the real world. Our students of CBSE grade 8 visited the Jindal steel plant, CBSE grade 6 had a great learning at the Cyclone warning centre and Cambridge students of Grades 6 & 7 learned and studied the types of ecosystems over an area of 3 acres in the biodiversity park.

We aim to constantly strive to improve our partnership with parents so that all our children are well supported, and parents feel confident. I thank all our parent partners for always being there and extending their support. I was thrilled to hear such positive feedback from you all in the meeting.

January being a month of festivity we have our Pongal celebrations lined up at our school followed by the Pongal vacation from 13 January to 22 January. Post the vacation we have our Republic Day celebrations and the most awaited Student Led Conference on 27 January. I invite you all to come and visit our student led conference and hear to our students’ learning outcomes in each subject.
