Oakridge Visakhapatnam Unveils STEAM Lab and Skating Rink
- 8 December 2025
Oakridge International School, Visakhapatnam, marked an exciting milestone with the inauguration of two new purpose-built learning spaces, the STEAM Lab and the Skating Rink, both designed to enrich student learning and promote creativity and physical development.
A New Era of Innovation: The STEAM Lab
As part of our continued commitment to nurturing curiosity and future-ready skills, the school has launched a dedicated STEAM Lab, now open to students from Grade 3 onwards.
The lab serves as a collaborative, hands-on learning environment where students engage with MIT STEAM Challenges, exploring real-world problems and building critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and resilience.
The space is equipped with physical and digital resources, research workstations, purposeful storage spaces, basic supplies, electronics and robotics equipment, green screen area, and a 3D printing station
During the launch, families witnessed young innovators experimenting, designing, and confidently bringing their ideas to life. The energy and excitement in the lab reflected the limitless potential of our learners, affirming that the future belongs to those who create it.
Rolling Into Joy: Skating Rink Inauguration
Students from Early Years to Grade 3 have already begun using the rink, finding balance, building confidence, and experiencing the thrill of movement under the guidance of our skating coach.
We are pleased to introduce Skating as an optional sport for Grades 4 and above starting from the next academic year, expanding opportunities for students to explore fitness, discipline, and skill-based learning.
With every new space we create, Oakridge reaffirms its promise to nurture confident, curious and future-ready learners.
