Update from the Principal’s Desk – September 2026

  • 17 September 2026

Dear Parents

September has begun on a wonderful note, with our students embracing opportunities to learn, participate, express themselves, and celebrate together as a community.

It has been wonderful to see our students come together for our inter-house competitions in sports and dance, expressing themselves with enthusiasm and embracing the spirit of healthy competition. We have also had the joy of celebrating our students’ achievements across different domains.

We are especially pleased to share that our senior students have begun receiving some exciting university offers. We wish them the very best as they take these important steps towards their future and look forward to many more offers in the months ahead as they continue to work closely with our Career Counsellor.

Our students have also been taking their learning beyond the classroom through field trips that connect classroom learning with real-world experiences. These opportunities allow students to explore, observe, and understand concepts in ways that make their learning more meaningful and relatable.

September has also given us some particularly special moments as a community. On Teachers’ Day, it was heartwarming to see our students and parents share appreciation notes with our teachers, recognising the care, dedication, and effort they bring to our students each day. We were equally delighted to see our youngest students celebrate Grandparents’ Day at school, sharing their world with their grandparents and creating many joyful moments together.

Our celebrations across the month have also offered valuable opportunities for intercultural learning, as students engaged with different festivals and traditions, learning to appreciate and celebrate the diversity of the world around them.

With examinations approaching, our students are also beginning their preparations, with our teachers continuing to be available for clarification, revision, and guidance. Alongside their academic well-being, we remain committed to supporting their overall health and well-being. As part of this commitment, we will be conducting basic health check-up for all students over the coming months. The assessment will help identify any areas that may require attention, and the health check-up records will be shared with parents for reference.

Looking further ahead, October promises to bring several exciting opportunities for our students. Students from Grade 4 onwards will embark on a national trip to Amritsar, Jalandhar, and Chandigarh from 14 to 18 October, giving them an opportunity to explore new places and extend their learning beyond the classroom.

We are also looking forward to hosting TEDx at Oakridge Visakhapatnam in October, with our students taking the stage alongside external speakers on the theme Beyond Perception. We look forward to an evening of ideas, perspectives, and conversations that encourage us to look beyond what we see and think differently. Tickets for the event will be available soon, and we would be delighted to have our parents join us.

As always, there is much to look forward to in the weeks ahead, and we are excited to continue creating meaningful experiences for our students, both within and beyond the classroom.

Warm regards,
Shaila Bhamidipati
