Dear Parents,
March is a time to pause and look back at a year of growth, effort, and achievement. It is also a time to look ahead with clarity and purpose as we prepare to begin a new academic journey.
This month captures what makes Oakridge a space for meaningful learning. From young learners confidently sharing their progress, to students gaining global recognition, to graduating cohorts ready for their next step, every moment reflects commitment and progress.
As we celebrate these milestones, we also acknowledge the partnerships that make them possible. Our students, educators, and parents continue to shape a community that values curiosity, responsibility, and growth.
We now move forward with renewed energy, ready to welcome a new year and new opportunities.
Warm regards,
Shaila Bhamidipati
Principal
Oakridge International School, Visakhapatnam
Graduation Day
This month marked an important transition for our students as they stepped into the next phase of their learning journey.
Our Early Years students move into Primary carrying with them confidence, curiosity, and a strong foundation built through their first years of school. From hesitant first days to independent learners, their growth has been steady and meaningful.
Our Grade 5 students now step into Secondary, ready to take on greater responsibility and deeper learning. They leave Primary with strong fundamentals, friendships, and the ability to think, question, and express themselves with clarity.
These moments reflect both an ending and a beginning. We are proud of how far our students have come and confident in where they are headed.

Global Campus Achievement
We congratulate Vrishali for being shortlisted for the Nord Anglia Education Global Campus Writing Competition.
Among thousands of entries from students across Nord Anglia schools, her story “The Forest of Cursed Magic” has been selected among the final 20 and is now being judged at the global level.
This recognition highlights the strength of student voice and the opportunities available through Nord Anglia Education’s Global Campus.
Visual Arts Exhibition
Our IBDP 2 Visual Arts students presented Anataha-Beneath the Surface, an exhibition of personal and reflective work.
Through various media, students explored themes of identity, memory, pressure, growth, and change. Each piece reflected their individual journey and invited viewers to engage with ideas beyond what is visible.
The exhibition was a culmination of sustained inquiry, experimentation, and creative development.
Visit by Dr. Leslie Williams
We were pleased to host Dr. Leslie Williams, Group Head of Social Impact and Giving at Nord Anglia Education.
She interacted with parents and students, sharing insights on values, social responsibility, and preparing young people to be future ready. The session encouraged reflection on the role of education in shaping responsible individuals.
Student Led Conference
Our Early Years to Grade 1 learners guided parents through their classrooms and shared their learning. They spoke about phonics, math, inquiry, and art with clarity and confidence. Parents observed not just what their children had learned, but how they think, reflect, and express themselves.
These moments reflect our approach to learning, where students take ownership and communicate their understanding with confidence.
Pen Pal Interaction
Our Grade 3 students connected with students from NAS Jiaxing School in China as part of the Global Campus Pen Pal interaction.
They introduced themselves, shared experiences, and engaged with enthusiasm. The session helped students build communication skills and understand perspectives beyond their immediate environment.
National Science Day
Curiosity and exploration were at the center of our National Science Day celebrations. Students engaged in hands-on experiments, asked questions, and explored concepts through active learning. The classrooms were filled with ideas, discussions, and excitement as students experienced science in action.
Gratitude Day
Gratitude Day gave students a moment to reflect on the year and acknowledge the people and experiences that shaped it. Our Early Years students expressed appreciation through handwritten notes and shared messages. The environment reflected kindness, connection, and a sense of community.
