Dear Parents,

July at Oakridge has been nothing short of extraordinary: a month of milestones, memories, and meaningful growth.

Through the exceptional IBDP and Trinity results, our learners reminded us that excellence has many expressions. Whether it was tiny tots charming us at Rhyme Rhapsody and Pajama Party or our senior students exploring knowledge at the Ekatvam exhibition, every experience reflected curiosity and commitment.

We also witnessed student-led action for causes that matter — tiger conservation, poverty awareness, and democratic leadership through the student council elections. These moments are at the heart of what we do: shaping thoughtful, compassionate global citizens.

As we move ahead, we remain committed to nurturing every child’s unique journey, with joy in learning, strength in character, and pride in every achievement.

Warm regards,
Shaila Bhamidipati
Principal

IBDP Results: A Legacy of Excellence

We’re thrilled to celebrate the success of the IBDP Class of 2025!

With a highest score of 41/45 and an average passing score of 32.7, our learners demonstrated academic excellence and resilience. Over 38% of students scored 35 and above, with an impressive grade average of 4.8.

A special shoutout to our topper Rutwik, who scored a phenomenal 41/45 — including a perfect 3/3 in the Core and 7s in higher level subjects Physics and Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches.

We’re incredibly proud of all our IBDP graduates and the bright futures they are shaping.

Trinity College London Exam Results

We’re thrilled to announce the remarkable achievements of our students in the Trinity College London assessments. While every Theatre student earned a Distinction, our Guitar and Keyboard learners secured multiple Distinctions and Merits. At Oakridge, we celebrate every performance, every note, and every learner who dreams.

History Buff in the Spotlight

Abhinav Reddy from Grade 8 made history — quite literally! One of only two students selected from India, Abhinav represented the nation at the International History Olympiad in Paris. With a brilliant mind and deep love for the subject, he brought pride not only to Oakridge and Vizag but to the entire country.

Dance Champions Shine Bright

We are thrilled to announce that our talented dancers brought home top honours at the All India Dance Competition 2025 organized by Natyaravali Music & Dance Academy.

With flawless expressions, rhythmic precision, and a deep command of classical and folk traditions — including Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Semi-Classical, and Folk — our students mesmerised both judges and audience alike.

Representing Oakridge, they secured First, Second, and Third prizes in the solo classical and folk categories, standing out among participants from across the region. We couldn’t be prouder!

First Aid Training for Staff

Our commitment to student safety is unwavering. This month, our staff participated in a First Aid training session, learning vital life-saving skills such as CPR, managing choking, handling electric shocks, and emergency response. Empowered with knowledge and readiness, our team is better prepared to ensure a secure learning environment for all.

Ekatvam: Theory of Knowledge Exhibition

In their Theory of Knowledge exhibition titled Ekatvam, our IBDP learners explored profound questions: What is knowledge? How do we acquire it?

Through real-world objects, personal reflections, and global connections, they examined how knowledge is shaped and challenged. Their exhibits inspired deep conversations and reminded us that true learning is rooted in curiosity and critical thought. Thank you to our parent and teacher community for supporting and engaging with this meaningful journey.

Rhyme Rhapsody Competition

Our EY2 stars dazzled the audience with their delightful performances at the Rhyme Rhapsody competition. With expressive gestures, adorable costumes, and boundless energy, our youngest learners brought poetry to life — showing that confidence starts early, and joy multiplies when shared on stage.

Grades 3 to 5 lit up the stage with captivating tales during the Spin A Yarn storytelling competition. Whether retelling classics or inventing new stories, our young orators showcased confidence, imagination, and powerful communication skills.

Doctors’ Day Celebration

To mark National Doctors’ Day, our youngest Oakridgers explored the world of healthcare through joyful role play. With mini clinics, toy stethoscopes, and pretend check-ups, they stepped into the shoes of doctors and learned about helping others.

A guest lecture on eye care and healthy habits made the day even more special, while handmade cards expressed heartfelt gratitude to real-life heroes in white coats.

On International Tiger Day, our young voices roared loud and clear — from expressive skits and songs to bold T-shirt prints and eco wristbands, students became champions for tiger conservation.

With every slogan, stripe, and smile, they reminded us that protecting our wildlife starts with awareness, action, and heart.

Pajama Party Fun

Our Early Years learners celebrated a magical Pajama Party — complete with movies, popcorn, musical chairs, art, and cuddles! Wrapped in cozy vibes and soft toys, the day was filled with laughter, creativity, and unforgettable childhood joy.

As part of their inquiry into SDG #1 — No Poverty — Grade 5B students explored the root causes of poverty, created posters, and conducted a special assembly.

They also visited a local charity, donating nutritious snacks and daily essentials. Through research, reflection, and real-world action, these learners showed that small steps can create meaningful change.

Student Council Elections

Leadership, vision, and a spirit of service came alive as students stepped forward to contest in the student council elections. From campaign speeches to interviews, learners shared their ideas and aspirations, practicing the democratic process with enthusiasm and integrity.
