Dear Parents,
Life in boarding is a journey of growth, independence, and belonging. Every day at Oakridge Visakhapatnam, our boarders learn to balance discipline with joy, routine with discovery, and individuality with community. Watching them grow into confident, kind, and capable young individuals is a reminder that true education extends beyond academics; it is also about building character and lifelong connections.
This month’s highlights reflect just that, from energetic morning walks and engaging Sunday clubs to sporting victories and festive celebrations that brought everyone together. Each experience adds to the vibrant life on campus, helping our students learn, share, and shine in their own unique ways.
Warm regards,
Shaila Bhamidipati

A Fresh Start Each Morning
Every morning in boarding begins with the calm of our green campus and the promise of a new day. Students head out for morning walks and physical training on the basketball court and open grounds, building fitness, focus, and discipline. This routine not only energises them for the day but also nurtures mindfulness and balance that stay with them beyond the field.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
Sundays at boarding are for discovering new interests through our Morning Clubs. From Robotics and Cooking to Chess, Gardening, and Public Speaking, these sessions help students explore life skills in fun, hands-on ways. Whether they’re programming sensor cars, experimenting with recipes, or debating ideas, every activity strengthens teamwork, problem-solving, and confidence.
Pride on the Court and Beyond
Our boarders brought home proud moments with their performances on the court and the mat. Sahithi, Kabir, and Neil represented Oakridge International School, Visakhapatnam, at the Puta Mamnadha Rao Memorial Club Basketball Tournament, where the boys’ team emerged as runners-up.
Adding to the success, Sujith and Tridev from Grade 12 won Silver and Bronze medals respectively at the State-Level School Games Federation of India (SGFI) Taekwondo Championship.
A Diwali to Remember
The boarding came alive with light, laughter, and colour this Diwali. Students took part in a beautiful Rangoli competition, followed by a festive dinner and a joyful round of musical chairs on the football field. The evening ended on a magical note as glowing lanterns filled the sky, reminding everyone that Diwali is about coming together as a family.
