World Children's Day: Embracing Inclusion for Every Child at Oakridge!

Dear Parent,

Greetings!

November was definitely a joyous month- and the reason behind this cheer was Children’s Day Celebrations. Anchoring on theme of World Children’s Day 2022, that is, ‘Inclusion: For Every Child’, the campus was brimming with joy in this week-long celebration. From Ice breaker sessions with the teachers, Blue Out Day, to Oakridge Campground, the students participated in multiple activities planned across the segments.

Besides this, our students had a clean sweep and bagged glorious 330 medals in SFA Tournament across sports like skating, soccer, and swimming. I extend my heartiest wishes to all the winners. The month also saw our young budding entrepreneurs participating enthusiastically in the Negotium- Sales Pitch Competition. It was indeed an energetic showcase of innovative ideas.

We also saw a wide array of opinionated orators taking part in JMUN. Our junior school students also took part in the World of Activities and exhibited a multicultural talent showcase.

Moreover, Grade 4 and Grade 5 students kicked in their adventurous spirit through the ‘Oakridge Campground’ event. From zip lining, flying fox, kayaking, water zorbing, to free fall, our students enjoyed these activities thoroughly.

As we venture towards December, entire school fraternity is gearing up for IB Continuum Evaluation. We are also ready to embrace the season’s greetings with Christmas knocking on our doors. The season of giving is just round the corner and we have multiple activities planned. As always, we request your continual support in making the processes in school seamless. Until next time!

Harboring on the theme of Inclusion for each and every child, students took part in multiple activities, this World Children’s Day. In this week-long celebration, Oakridgers celebrated Blue-Out Day, took part in Campground, and wrote cards on what inclusion means to them.
