September 2026

September has been a month of continuing our story of ‘Agency’. From EYP learning celebration where the little ones practice their ‘voice & choice’ amidst their peers and parents to University fairs where grades 11 and 12 students make choices about their future, student agency is visible in intention and action.
Our students do not use agency only for themselves but extend the same to a wide range of social impact initiatives this month reflecting that authentic purpose is the end goal of agency.
Agency is not a word but a lived experience with your community through celebrations like Grandparents’ Day where children learn the value of family bonds, HUMRAAHI- where they learn to care and share to curate a better life for those in need and World Scholars Cup where they collaborate and compete with a group of like-minded students.
Oakridge remains a journey of transformation through agency, reflection, and initiatives.

Best Wishes and Warm Regards,

Grandparents’ Day

On 19 September, our Early Years Programme was filled with warmth, laughter and cherished memories as we welcomed the grandparents of our Pre-Nursery, Nursery, EY1, EY2 and Grade 1 students to school. The day was a beautiful opportunity for grandparents to step into their children’s learning world and experience the joy of school alongside them. From fun games and engaging activities to precious moments of interaction, every experience brought generations closer together.

EYP Learning Celebration

Our EYP Learning Celebration brought learning to life as EY1, EY2 and Grade 1 students proudly shared their learning journey with their parents. Through engaging interactive activities, creative presentations and lively role plays, students showcased the concepts and skills they had explored in class so far. The celebration offered parents a wonderful glimpse into their children’s everyday learning experiences, highlighting how curiosity, creativity and confidence come together in the classroom.

Our students brought the spirit of inclusion to life through SPLASH, welcoming 62+ children with cognitive and hearing impairments for a day filled with creativity, play, laughter and meaningful interaction. The event reflected the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), particularly Articles 2, 12, 23 and 31, and SDGs 3, 4, 10 and 16 into action by promoting well-being, inclusive education, reduced inequalities and inclusive communities.

The first Humraahi session of AY 2026–27, held on 26 September, brought students together for a morning of learning, connection and collaboration. The student-led initiative began with a warm welcome, breakfast and a financial literacy session led by Grade 11 students, before participants divided into groups for engaging activities. Students explored football and volleyball, while others developed their English communication and creative expression through Art Time.
