Dear Parents,
May has been a month of joyful learning, reflection, and preparation at Oakridge Gachibowli. Our Summer Camp brought energy, creativity, and excitement to campus, with students thoroughly enjoying new experiences and friendships. Alongside this, our staff engaged in meaningful training sessions, strengthening our shared commitment to excellence in learning.
This summer has also been a period of thoughtful enhancement across our campus, with ongoing improvements including the renovated Chemistry Lab, upgraded primary activity areas, the junior library, and refreshed flooring in the Primary Years Programme spaces.
As we prepare to welcome our learners back, we look forward to beginning the new academic year with renewed purpose and a sweet surprise waiting for them on campus.
Best Wishes and Warm Regards,
Dipika Rao
Principal, Oakridge International School, Gachibowli
Oakridge’s staff came together for the All Hands Meet, marking the close of the academic year with appreciation and celebration. Set against a summer vacation theme, the event created a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere. We recognised team members through awards such as Unsung Heroes and 100% Attendance, celebrating their dedication and contribution. The evening also featured lively dance and music performances by junior, senior and administrative staff. It was a moment to reflect on the year gone by and acknowledge the collective effort behind it.
We hosted an engaging Summer Camp from 4th May to 15th May, bringing together children from within the school as well as external participants. The camp offered a diverse range of activities designed to inspire creativity and exploration. Shiamak Dawar’s Dance Fiesta added energy and movement, while Future Flyers by Pracverse introduced students to the world of drone technology and robotics. The Creative Atelier by Artmigos Hyderabad encouraged artistic expression through hands‑on experiences. The programme created a vibrant and inclusive space for learning beyond the classroom.
We conducted a Capacity Building Programme for staff from 5th May to 7th May 2026, focusing on strengthening teaching practices and professional growth. The first two days centred on Experiential Learning, led by Dr S. Shankara Chary and Ms Amruta Rao, who engaged participants in interactive and practical approaches to classroom instruction. On 7 May, the session on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 was facilitated by Ms Shampa Ghosh and Ms Ritu Bala, offering valuable insights into current educational frameworks. The sessions encouraged reflection, collaboration and skill-building among educators. It was a meaningful opportunity for staff to deepen their understanding and enhance their teaching practices.
We are delighted to share a proud moment for our school community. Rohan Rao Medabalmi (Grade 3) and Geethika Kodali (Grade 5) have been shortlisted for the Global Campus Writing Challenge. We are proud to share that Rohan Rao Medabalmi emerged as the winner in the 7–9 age category. Their achievement reflects creativity and strong writing skills at a young age.
Earth Day 2026 at Oakridge, centred on the theme “Our Power, Our Planet”, brought together students from Grades 7 to 12 in a meaningful celebration of sustainability. Activities such as eco message bookmarks, pledge badges, “Waste to Wow” upcycling, and the “Give Paper Back” drive reflected creativity and responsibility in action. Students also explored the campus through QR based tree placards, blending technology with environmental awareness. Innovative contributions, including student led sustainability projects and tech based solutions, added depth to the learning experience. Senior students connected literature with sustainability through reflective writing, while the community came together to take the Earth Day Pledge. The initiative aligned with SDG 4, 12, 13, 14 and 15, blending literature, science, creativity, and sustainability into a meaningful experience.
We are pleased to share the CBSE Grade 12 results for 2026, marking an important milestone for our students. 94 students appeared for the examination, achieving a school average of 76.6%. We are proud to recognise our toppers—Kaavya Vinay Kamat (97.8%), Rishika Khare (96%), and Shourya Momaya (95.4%) for their strong performance. The cohort saw 16.13% of students scoring above 90%, while 56% secured distinction (75% and above) and 91.4% achieved first class (60% and above). Notably, we also recorded 100 per cent scores in Painting and Fashion Studies. We congratulate our students on their efforts and wish them the very best for their future endeavours.
