An initiative by the students of Oakridge International School, Bachupally
It was a moment of joy for Oakridge International School, Bachupally campus to announce the initiation of “The Box of Happiness- An initiative by the students of Oakridge International School”. Sankeerthan and Ridah students from grade 12and 11 came up with a dream to see a society where no one is left empty-handed. With dedicated efforts and the immense support of their Principal, Ms.Baljeet Oberoi and the Director- Mr.Devi Kanungo, they could bring this dream to reality.
The students installed “The box of happiness” on 12th November’2020 at the Hill county society in the presence of community members who have granted space to place the box.
The young students of OIS, Bachupally were overwhelmed with various problems existing in their community that hinder one’s living for which they have aimed to abolish these issues, thereby bringing a positive transformation in the society.
The box of happiness is a donation box placed at Hill county where helping hands can make enormous contributions like dry groceries (flour, rice, lentils, etc.), stationery articles, books, clothes, toys, electronics and other non-perishable commodities. These donations will be carried by the respective authorities and will be made available to NGO’s and people in need. Any contributions will be considered.
“Charity brings to life again those who are spiritually dead.”- Ms.Sankeerthana
