Technopreneurship

To understand about current and emerging technology trends, their impact on business & how technology will transform the future, our school hosted “Technopreneurship”. This was a successful event with some prominent personalities in attendance who delivered industry-led discussions. Events like Science Day excite our students as they love performing research and enjoy exploring more about the scientific concepts with the help of their teachers.  Performing their experiments practically to understand the theory is their favourite part in learning Science. Their self-confidence is boosted by presenting their own research and experiments on Science day and exhibitions which is appreciated and well received by guests and parents.

As a part of the IB’s core, students at our school delve into the use of interdisciplinary approach in order to foster learning and tackle real-world problems. The umbrella topic for this year’s event was “The impact of technology on the safety of individuals and societies,” which took on different forms in each of the unique and novel projects that were presented at the exhibition. The colourful array of ideas included the development of eco-friendly sanitary napkin, a chemical test for drugs commonly used to spike drinks, a Taser device inbuilt within a shoe which promoted women’s safety and many more. In light of environment friendly aspirations, one group created a Eco lantern; which is a source of light based on renewable energy including thermal, mechanical and solar to be used in a rural setting. All in all, each individual group approached the umbrella topic with an inquisitive mind-set and the collaboration, communication and critical thinking skills that they gained along the journey shall hopefully hold them in good stead in their future endeavours.
