Treasure Fest 2018 was organized by Oakridge International School, Newton Campus from 29 -31 August. Various schools from different parts of Hyderabad participated in different competitions and under different categories of the Sports, Literary events, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, and Creative Arts of Treasure Fest 2018. It’s a platform for students to come and show their talents. This year, Oakridge International School, Newton campus came out with flying colors almost in all the events. Our school was declared as the overall champions.
On the very first day, Oakridge mesmerized the audience with its amazing performance in Drama in category A and won the first prize followed by the 2nd prize in Category B. In Music, our school clinched first prize for both the A and B categories. Even in the Dance competition, our school won the first prize in Category A. The visual arts students also made it the day with their artistic strokes as Oakridge Newton Campus, one of the top international schools in Hyderabad bagged first prize in Category B and C, both in Collage and Portrait respectively.
In sports, Oakridgers won and emerged as champions in the Treasure Fest under-19 Basketball Tournament in the boy’s category in the finals conducted by Oakridge International School (Newton Campus), Gachibowli. In the boy’s final, Oakridge dominated for the most part of the game and won comfortably in the end with the scoreline reading 70-32. The Treasure Fest Extravaganza was officially declared closed for the year 2013 on a high note of cheer and triumph.
In tennis, tournament under-14 category girls, Malishka from Oakridge International school, Secured 1st position in the tournament. In under- 14 category Boys, Gourav Krishna from Grade-8 MYP Secured 2nd position in the tournament.
