Dear Parents, 

As another enriching phase of our academic journey unfolds, I am reminded that the true strength of our school lies not only in the achievements we celebrate, but in the values we nurture together. Every experience our students embrace-whether in the classroom, on stage, in the community, or beyond-contributes to shaping confident learners, compassionate leaders, and responsible global citizens. 

Over the past few weeks, our students have continued to inspire us through their enthusiasm, resilience, and commitment to excellence. From taking on leadership responsibilities through the Student Council to excelling in academics, sports, and service initiatives, they have embraced every opportunity with purpose and determination. Their participation in the Oakridge Junior MUN, and the Leadership camp to Hidden Castle, reflected the importance of experiential learning, teamwork, resilience, and leadership beyond the classroom. 

A defining highlight was the IB Theory of Knowledge (TOK) Exhibition, where our Diploma Programme students demonstrated exceptional inquiry and critical thinking by exploring real-world questions through diverse perspectives. It was especially heartening to welcome the IBDP students from Silver Oaks School, whose participation added richness to the exchange of ideas and celebrated the spirit of collaboration and open-minded learning. 

EDIB initiatives came alive across School, reinforcing that belonging is the foundation of learning. From students creating “Everyone Belongs Begins with Me” Promise Cards, role plays to learners exploring the power of diversity through creative writing, and Inter-House Debate challenging perspectives on Belonging Before Achievement, students demonstrated empathy, critical thinking, and inclusive leadership. Equally inspiring was the impact of our EDIB Aequitas Project, where our students prepared and distributed learning kits, extending support to 362 government school students. Crochet & Connect was launched to empower our support staff through creative skill-building while fostering empathy and making a positive social impact.   

Our commitment to meaningful partnerships with families continued through our Curriculum Days, where parents from the Early Years, Cambridge Primary and PYP experienced first-hand how learning comes alive at Oakridge.  

Celebrating excellence remains an integral part of our culture. During our Academic Excellence Awards Ceremony, we proudly recognised students whose dedication, perseverance, and outstanding academic achievements exemplify the highest standards of our International Curriculum.  

The safety and wellbeing of our students continue to remain our highest priority. To reinforce preparedness and promote a culture of responsibility, the school successfully conducted both fire and lockdown drills. Students and staff demonstrated commendable discipline while practising emergency protocols, helping ensure that our campus remains a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all. 

A gentle reminder to all parents that every Student ID card is embedded with an RFID chip and must be carried to school each day. The ID card is essential for accessing important school services, including lunch and transportation. 

As we look ahead, we remain excited about the many opportunities that await our students. Thank you for your continued trust, encouragement, and partnership.
