As we stand in culmination of this eventful year, we extend our heartful appreciation for your invaluable presence in the Oakridge Family. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the parents who took the time to participate in our recent survey. We are thrilled to announce that this survey has received the highest response rate in the past five years, reflecting your active engagement and commitment to the betterment of our school.  

It is undeniable that our journey has been akin to a roller coaster ride, with its exhilarating highs and daunting lows. Yet, amidst the twists and turns, we have achieved extraordinary feats. Let us take a moment to reflect upon and celebrate these remarkable occasions that have left an indelible mark on our collective experience.  

We were graciously bestowed with the esteemed Times School Award, presented by the legendary Anil Kapoor. Oakridge International School, Bachupally proudly stands as one of Hyderabad’s top three schools and the unrivalled number one in the Northwest Zone. 

We were the proud receiver of the Global Award for Best CBSE School for Grade 12 by Nord Anglia Education. 

We are thrilled and overjoyed to announce that two of our student-led social impact projects, ‘Periodt’ and ‘Mpowered’, have each been awarded the Research and Development Grant worth USD 3000. It’s indeed a proud moment for Oakridge Bachupally campus as it’s our second year in a row to receive this prestigious award from Nord Anglia Education.

It’s a wrap for this year, and we can look back with pride and gratitude for all that we have accomplished. Allow me to walk you down the memory lane. 

• Unleashing the alchemy of ideas, TEDx [Alchemy]Oakridge Bachupally 2023 mesmerized with its captivating narratives. From scientific marvels to personal journeys, speakers shared transformative stories, showcasing the power of ideas to create meaningful change.  
• A historic day unfolded as we proudly hosted our inaugural SDG summit, making history as the first school in Hyderabad and Nord Anglia Education to do so. With 60 delegates joining us from near and far, fostering collaboration and a shared commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals.  
• Aequitas – a dynamic student-led initiative that embraced the core values and vibrant diversity of our multicultural community – driven by students, for students, and it was unlike anything we had seen before. Our inspiring students, Rayhan – EDI Ambassador, along with me, came together to champion this remarkable initiative.  
• CASFiesta 2023 – an occasion that witnessed students, parents, and teachers joining hands for a day filled with joy, laughter, and giving back. Together, we’re not just hosting an event; we’re building connections, fostering kindness, and creating memories that echo the true spirit of community.
• Early Years students took on the Global Connectedness Challenge by storm! They created innovative and sustainable projects that are a great way to teach our students about the importance of caring for our planet and the beauty of nature. We’re so proud of their hard work and dedication! 
• Oakridge Junior Olympics 2023 was a symphony of skills and unity captured in fleeting moments and showcasing the brilliance of our future leaders. 
• Cambridge Primary trailblazed the first-ever charity Fashion show, “La moda – a sustainable style show”. The event witnessed kids confidently own the runway, showcasing their creativity with sustainable goods and upcycled clothing, emphasizing SDG-12 [Responsible Consumption and Production].

The spirit of collaboration has been evident in every endeavour. Whether it was working together on group projects, supporting peers in their learning journey, or organizing virtual events, our students have exemplified the power of teamwork and community. 

We have prioritized the wellbeing of our students, recognizing the importance of mental and emotional health. We have provided resources, guidance, and support systems to ensure that our students feel valued, supported, and empowered to navigate the challenges they may face.

On the operational end,  

1. We have been investigating transport issues with our outsourced company and have been able to strategize it. Please be rest assured that we will do all intervention and contractual amendments to make sure that our students come to school on time and reach home safely. Safety and the wellbeing of students stay our utmost priority too.  
2. Our parent referral benefits offer rewards to parents who refer others to educational programs or services, fostering a sense of community and providing incentives for promoting quality learning experiences.
