From the Principal’s Desk – Feb’24

  • 12 February 2024

By exploring new cultures, embracing diversity, and connecting with people from around the globe, we can truly understand the depth and richness of this extraordinary masterpiece.”

As we step into the month of February, we are excited to continue our journey towards global connectedness at our school. Our focus on wellbeing and bringing different cultures together through music has been instrumental in fostering a sense of unity and understanding among our students.

From cultural exchange programs to music workshops that celebrate diversity, we are committed to providing our students with opportunities to learn from and connect with individuals from different backgrounds. Together, we can make a positive impact and create a more united and understanding community. Thank you for your continued support and dedication to this important cause.

Our Collective Identity –

In a departure from traditional Republic Day celebrations, CAIE took a sustainable approach by incorporating upcycled art, eco-friendly fashion shows, and a plant-powered picnic. This innovative and responsible way of celebrating freedom went beyond the usual flag-waving and parades.

On the global front –

Students from GC Debate Club [grades 11 and 12] participated in an animated debate with other schools and emerged winner in the second round. The Writing Competition witnessed outstanding entries from every category across on the theme of Myths and Legends related to various monuments. Our second group of Pen Pals has initiated the exchange of activities, nurturing connections that transcend geographical boundaries.

Oakridge teachers were privileged to adjudicate a diverse array of competitions at the Global Campus. These competitions spanned across digital habitat, writing, art, film festival, and virtual young musicians.

Artistic Vignettes –

Nikita Bandlamudi’s DP2 art exhibition, “Slices of Life,” was a sensory delight, portraying the stages of human experience with vibrant visuals and intricate details. Each piece offered a therapeutic journey through the lens of art, reflecting Nikita’s love for fashion and introspection.

According to Ms. Priyanka Prasad, the IBPYP coordinator, “Continuously updating your own version is key. Rather than simply observing, they actively exchange and implement these practices in their classrooms.”

As mentioned by Ms. Nandini Mathur, our Head of Early Years, “In our team of Early years, working together is the key to a lively learning environment. Our collaborative efforts truly make a difference making learning so effective and fun!”
