Dear Parents,
At Oakridge boarding, our students continue to grow not only through academics but through shared experiences that build independence and confidence. Boarding life offers a unique blend of structure and freedom where learning extends beyond the classroom into everyday moments of collaboration and care.
This edition offers a glimpse into the club sessions that nurtured imagination and skill, an enriching outing that combined exploration and recreation, joyful celebrations within our boarding family, and the steady routine of activities that keep our learners active and engaged.
As our boarders prepare for their examinations, the hostel has embraced a focused and supportive routine. Our teachers are guiding them closely through structured study hours and revision sessions, ensuring every student feels confident and well prepared.
Together, these experiences reflect the spirit of our boarding community where every day is an opportunity to learn, connect and grow.
Warm Regards,
Shaila Bhamidipati

Club Activities
Our club sessions this month brought together creativity, strategy and hands on learning in meaningful ways. In the English Literature Club, students explored the art of storytelling, focusing on character building, plot development, and narrative techniques that encouraged them to think like young authors. Another session introduced students to Holocaust literature through the novel The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas by John Boyne, promoting empathy, historical awareness, and thoughtful discussion.
The Cooking Club offered delightful practical experiences where students prepared French toast and later explored sandwich making. These sessions helped them understand basic culinary skills while encouraging independence and teamwork in the kitchen.
In Chess Club, learners sharpened their tactical skills and strategic thinking. They were guided to plan ahead, evaluate possibilities, and strengthen their decision-making abilities through thoughtful gameplay.
Mandala Art Club sessions focused on structured techniques of mandala drawing, exploring petals and geometric patterns that enhanced creativity while reinforcing the importance of symmetry and patience.
Robotics Club introduced students to the world of digital creativity through video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro and VN Video Editor. Students experimented with editing tools and learned the basics of visual storytelling, expanding their technological skills.
Recreation at Boarding
With the addition of new bicycles, cycling has become a much anticipated part of the daily routine. Students now enjoy cycling sessions in the morning and evening, building stamina, discipline and a love for outdoor activity. These sessions not only promote physical fitness but also offer a refreshing start and close to the day, reinforcing the importance of a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
Boarding Outing
An enriching visit to the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park offered students an opportunity to observe wildlife closely and connect classroom learning with real world experiences. The walk through the park encouraged conversations about biodiversity, conservation and respect for nature, making the experience both informative and memorable.
Following the zoo visit, students enjoyed a delightful lunch. The relaxed setting provided a refreshing change of environment where students bonded over good food and laughter.
