As we embark on the second term of the academic year, we are filled with gratitude for the remarkable achievements and heartwarming celebrations that unfolded in this month.

We were delighted to connect with many of you at the CASFiesta and Annual Expectation Meet. These events showcased the vibrancy and spirit of our Oakridge community.

Oakridge has been abuzz with activity throughout November. From the joyous Diwali celebrations to the inaugural Bachupally SDG summit, our campus has been a vibrant hub of learning and engagement.

Our students have excelled in inter-school and inter-house competitions, upholding the spirit of holistic education at Oakridge. Their dedication to academic excellence, discipline, and active participation in diverse activities is truly commendable.

Hyderabad’s First Ever SDG Summit

Our first-ever SDG summit, a day etched in history! We stand proudly as the inaugural school in Hyderabad and Nord Anglia Education to host this transformative event, uniting 60 delegates from within and beyond our walls. This summit marks the remarkable beginning of a transformative era, fostering collaboration and shared commitment towards the Sustainable Development Goals. Our UNICEF ambassadors, Ishanka and Shashank, recreated their UNICEF Summit experience, sharing valuable insights and igniting a passion for addressing global issues among their peers.

A Heartwarming Affair

Our campus came alive on Nov 18, as students, parents, and teachers joined hands for a day filled with joy, laughter, and giving back. From lively dance performances to delectable food stalls, every moment echoed with excitement. Together, we’re not just hosting an event; we’re building connections, fostering kindness, and creating memories that echo the true spirit of community.

Diwali Celebrations

Oakridge Bachupally celebrated Diwali with a vibrant display of flower rangolis, ethnic attire, and a special stall by NGO Aashayam. Students spread Diwali’s message of light by supporting Aashayam’s stall of diyas, a vocational center for mentally challenged children. The amphitheater echoed with music as students jammed, creating a truly memorable Diwali filled with joy and purpose.

Gratitude in action!

Cambridge Primary learners embraced the spirit of Thanksgiving during Gratitude Week, conquering the Global Campus challenge with heartwarming moments and shared appreciation. Ms. Louise’s presence and wise words made these treasured moments truly unforgettable. Here’s to fostering a sense of community and giving thanks for the positive threads that weave through our lives.

Samvruth, 7, #CAIE, has elevated his passion for science and technology to new heights, and his recent achievements speak volumes! #ScientistForADay: Guided by space coach Dr. Sarvesh K Bharadwaj, Samvruth secured 1st place in a NASA-organized competition. #KalamQuestChampion: Securing the 3rd position among 35 finalists nationwide, Samvruth aced the challenges of the Homi Lab Science and Technology Olympiad, impressing even Colonel Mayank Chaubey in the final interview.

Team ELEOS & Nutrify the Needful on a heartwarming community service trip to a local government school. Aligned with SDGs 2, 3, 4, & 10, we donated stationary kits, conducted a vibrant dance workshop celebrating World Children’s Day, and served over 100 students and staff with healthy, delicious food. Our actions aim for zero hunger, good health, quality education, and reduced inequalities, leaving a lasting impact on the community.

Commemorating World Children’s Day! We invited Ms. Nagalakshmi for a guest lecture on empowering empathy. We had a great time interacting with blind students from Devnar Foundation, showcasing their skills in the humble presence of Ms. Louise! Inclusion for all is an essential responsibility we, as global Oakridge students, take up. This activity, conducted for Grades 8 & 9, was definitely one worth understanding.

Botanical Garden

Excursions offer students a chance to learn beyond the classroom. EYP2 learners visited the ‘Botanical Garden’ in connection to their unit ‘How the World Works.’ Exploring diverse plants and their environments, it was incredible to witness their inquiries on plant care.
